Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English This unofficial release profiles alternative rock sensations Coldplay. Drawing on interviews with the band, as well as friends and colleagues, this is a fascinating insight into the men behind such heart-wrenching material as "Yellow." Plagues by insecurities, singer Chris Martin is an interesting, unconventional frontman, which perhaps goes some way to explaining why they create such a unique sound.

Coldplay - Back To The Start Movie Review Average Rating: (1 out of 5 stars) Where's The Band???? Honestly, if you were going to make a DOCUMENTARY video on a band as massive and awesome as COLDPLAY, wouldn't you include some live footage and interviews of them? Well, this DVD has nothing of that sort! Basically, it's a compiled collection of completely random, arbitrary people some who have not even heard of the band!!!! This is coming from a HUGE Fan of COLDPLAY, so please, if you are a fan as well, save your money and get something like Live 2003 (which features live footage and a funny/endearing tour diary! ^__^). | | Nine Inch Nails Fixed (1998)
Coldplay - Back To The Start review
$6.49 he logical follow-up to the 1992 release, 'Broken'. 'Fixed' features six intensely industrial remixes & reinterpretations of tracks that, as described on the back cover, 'appear in their proper form on the 'Broken' EP.'
Contains remixes of song on BROKEN. Nine Inch Nails: Trent Reznor (vocals, various instruments). Audio Remixers: Chris Vrenna; Danny Hyde; J.G. Thirlwell. The companion piece to Trent Reznor's explosive industrial rock / metal opus Broken, Fixed sees the songs twisted through an intense remix process that makes them even darker than the original doom rock creations they began as. With contributions from noted studio experts like J.G. Thirlwell, Coil, Butch Vig, and Reznor himself, the more industrial versions of these guitar-themed tracks appear in a completely new light. The mixes range from sinisterly quiet to more beat- and drum-oriented, but they also retain the awesome power of the core compositions. The remix of the Grammy-winning "Wish," for instance, features a lengthy, saturated drum intro, which only gives it more credence when it erupts ...

$7.29 The Mars Volta: Omar Alfredo Rodriguez-Lopez, Isaiah Owens, Jon Philip Theodore, Cedric Bixler Zavala, Jeremy Michael Ward, Eva Gardner. Recorded in 2001. Recording information: Long Beach, CA (10/2001-12/2001). Photographers: Omar Rodriguez-Lopez; Sonny Kay. When At the Drive-In decapitated itself, it basically split a whole into two halves; the Mars Volta took up the more ethereal, spacy, and experimental one. This project seems to pretty ...
| | Porcupine Tree Deadwing CD (2005)
Coldplay - Back To The Start movie DVD
$10.29 Live Recording
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Porcupine Tree: Steven Wilson (vocals, guitar, hammer dulcimer, piano, keyboards, bass instrument); Richard Barbieri (keyboards, synthesizer); Colin Edwin (bass guitar); Gavin Harrison (drums, percussion). Personnel: Mikael Åkerfeldt (guitar, background vocals); Adrian Belew (guitar). Porcupine Tree have always been pigeonholed with the modern prog movement, but the reality is that they're both a riff-addicted metal band and a troupe obsessed with rich harmonies and memorable refrains. Take the grinding guitar work of "Shallow" which dukes it out with frontman Steve Wilson's undeniably melodic chorus before easing into the delicate, beautifully crafted "Lazarus." Few bands exhibit this kind of depth, be it the dreamy, Pink Floyd-inspired hallucination "Halo" or the Queensrÿche echoes of "Open Car." If the 12-minute sonic meander known as "Arriving Somewhere but Not Here" is as head-trippy as rock music gets anymore, it is reassuring to know ...
| | Cure Pornography: Deluxe Edition CDs (1982) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Digipak
Coldplay - Back To The Start video
$12.25 Additional Tracks
The Cure: Robert Smith (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Simon Gallup (keyboards, bass); Laurence Tolhurst (keyboards, drums). Engineers: Phil Thornally, Mike Nocito, Robert Smith. Recorded at Rak Studio One, London, England. This remastered edition features a 14-track bonus disc of rarities that includes numerous demos, studio outtakes, and live performances. The Cure: Robert Smith (vocals, guitar, cello, keyboards); Simon Gallup (keyboards, bass guitar, background vocals); Laurence Tolhurst (keyboards, drums, percussion, background vocals). Later hailed as one of the key goth rock albums of the '80s and considered by many hardcore Cure fans to be the band's best album, Pornography was largely dismissed upon its 1982 release, witheringly reviewed as a leaden slab of whining and moping. The truth, as usual, is somewhere in between: Pornography is much better than most mainstream critics of the time thought, but in retrospect, it's not the masterpiece some fans have claimed it to be. The overall sound is thick and murky, but too muddy to be effectively atmospheric ...
| | Nine Inch Nails With Teeth CD (2005) Digipak; DualDisc
Coldplay - Back To The Start film
$15.39 DualDisc content includes both DVD-A & 5.1 surround sound mixes of the album. This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other. Nine Inch Nails: Trent Reznor (vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar). Additional personnel: Dave Grohl (drums). Trent Reznor always was a perfectionist, laboring over his final mixes with a fine-tooth comb, a belabored process that inevitably led to long gaps between albums. About five years a piece, actually, a wait that was sustainable between his 1989 debut, Pretty Hate Machine, and his 1994 breakthrough, The Downward Spiral; a wait, considering the expectations, that was understandable between that record and its 1999 sequel, The Fragile; yet it was a wait that was a little bewildering and frustrating between that record and its long-gestating follow-up, With Teeth. The Fragile was a grandiose, indulgent double album, dense enough to alienate fairweather fans while making advocates of those with enough ...
