4 out of 5 stars The Music of Home The music of O Brother Where Art Thou? raw, simple, and just as it should be. It is the music of people - ordinary people, not glossy, manufactured media stars. It is the music that gets people through hard times, and brings them together in good times. Fun, because you can sing along, and wistful, because it feels like it's from an era gone by.

4 out of 5 stars Great Movie/Great Music I enjoy this type of music and am very pleased with my purchase of this CD which just arrived yesterday after an extremely long delay. It was worth the delay though and I am listening to the music as we speak. This type of music somehow soothes me and lets my mind wander to a time when the musicians were sitting around and putting this music together. It is a definate good CD and worth the money. 5 out of 5 stars Wake the Dead My fellow employes are normally deadbeats who came alive with this soundtrack playing. It made a long boring night much more pleasurable. The world needs a lot more of this type music. It is toe tapping, can't sit still, non forgettable. By a reviewer (Lakeshore, MS USA) | (3) |

5 out of 5 stars This is GREAT !! This CD deserved both the CMA awards it won, & anything else in the future. It takes you back to good old "bluegrass" music with the humor of the movie behind it. By a reviewer (Ypsilati, MI, USA) | (0) |

5 out of 5 stars words and music... Not many soundtracks have such original music as this. Each track is a timepiece. It evokes an era of simplicity. The music is so true to its genre. A simple mix of bluegrass, country, folk, and harmony. The different versions of "man of constant sorrow" are each classic works. You won't stop tapping your feet for days! | (0) |

4 out of 5 stars Wonderfully refreshing music from a time long past I purchased this soundtrack when I visited New Orleans recently. I manage to play the soundtrack every day or so but especially when I am working on my PC. Though I was unfamiliar with the style of music contained here, I have grown to love the simplicity and honesty of many of the tracks. I am a great fan of the Cohen brothers films so it only goes to show that I would enjoy the music they chose for the soundtrack. Well done to the musicians, I love it. 4 out of 5 stars GREAT BLUEGRASS I don't generally look for Bluegrass music or enjoy listening to it, but this is great! Maybe it's because the movie was incredibly enjoyable. The music is good, but it's also fun to listen to. By a reviewer (Republic,Washington) | (1) |

5 out of 5 stars Even better than the movie itself The movie 'O Brother Where Art Thou' was a great movie, but it was the bluegrass and Southern roots music that I loved more than anything. This soundtrack has all of the great songs that were included in the movie. | (0) |

2 out of 5 stars A little too twangy for me I like some of the cuts on this, but there are a couple that are 'out there'. Also, the last two songs will not play on my stereo and I am not sure why. It stops at the 16th track. So, I haven't heard 17 or 18.

4 out of 5 stars Great Movie, Great Soundtrack We so enjoyed the movie and the amusing music it provided that we just had to own it. It is really fun to listen to for it is kind of old fashion country type music and fit so well within the movie. Recommendation is if you liked the movie you will enjoy the soundtrack as much.
