It is very appropriate for any era, regarding right and wrong and how love, and patience can eventually help resolve any human issue. If you haven't seen it I encourage you to watch. 5 out of 5 stars Bells Are Ringing This movie, which I first saw as a child, has become a family holiday viewing tradition, along with films such as "It's A Wondrful Life, "Miracle on 34th Street" and "White Christmas." I love the "Santa Clause" movies and "Jingle All the Way," but today's generation doesn't know what it's missing. We're introducing my 6-year-old granddaughter to "Miracle" this year. 5 out of 5 stars A Classic Christmas Tale "The Bells of St. Mary's" is is an outstanding Christmas tale which ranks right up there with "Miracle on 34th Street," "It's a Wonderful Life," and the more recently produced "A Christmas Story" as must-see annual yuletide fare. The performances of Crosby, Bergman, and Travers--as well as eight Academy Award nomininations--mark this film as one of the best of its era.
