 5 out of 5 stars underrated Yes this did come out after Jaws and it may deserve some of its' flak. HOWEVER, it is a very great movie and it is suspenseful. You have to end up rooting for the whale. 5 out of 5 stars Great Movie! Besides the main action, The movie has a subplot wherein Annie, a crew member on the boat,falls and breaks her leg. She is then seen with her cast, full length hip to toes recuperating at home. The house is then knocked off its pilings causing Annie to fall through a hole in the floor! She manages to hang on but her cast is dangling through the hole. The orca sees her casted leg and decides to attack. He leaps up from the water below and bites at Annies casted leg!

5 out of 5 stars the best jaws rip off OK so it's an exploitation flick but who cares??....the fact is that formulas work and start taking on a charm of their own. Movies like grizzly and orca capitalized on the jaws gravy train but they have their own strange place in our memories and when you compare them to the current state of film making (which is nothing short of disastrous) we should be thankful for these classic films. 5 out of 5 stars Still blows me away Dino DeLaurentiis does it again in this phenomenal tale of Revenge that mixes all of the thrilling aspects of Jaws with the dark brooding and methodical tones and pacing of films like Jamaica Inn and The Name of the Rose.
Richard Harris and Charlotte Rampling provide a dynamic that is rarely seen anymore in Hollwood, because it requires too much thought. She loves him, but what he is doing is Soooooo wrong that she can't let herself.
Even though this movie is only on VHS and has (probably) the goofiest cover of all time, I can guarantee it's quality.
This movie also happens to be one of the main reasons why I hold CD UNIVERSE in such high regard. Often times you can ask for this movie in you local video store and they will tell you that it is either on back order with the distributer or that it is out of print. CD Universe has it hands down and it only takes 1 to 2 days to ship!!!

a perfect story.the movie JAWS was okay
but the ORCA was great movie.the sound of music was very vengence and haunting.
the killer whale was real in this movie.
but the movie Jaws was just a machine.
oh well i liked the movie Jaws too!
it was good but the movie Orca was great.i have this movie on both vhs and dvd.except cd soundtrack of Orca and where i could find one. oh well again
i'll find some day on the internet.
