4 starsA band that can actually jam!
I bought this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! The songs are catchy in a rockin' way and the guitar playing is excellent. A good buy-really.

4 starsThis demonstrates their power...
The live versions of songs from the earlier albums absolutely burn with intensity not captured in the studio( no surprise) If you like the Broughtons, you must check this one out!

4 starsGurvitz brothers bust it out!
What a great rockin' album from beginning to end, from the overlooked Gurvitz bros. There are some real powerful songs here and after a couple o' listens you will agree! Note-heavy isn't how you set the volume on the amp-it comes from your heart.

3 starsEarly metal with John Lawton...
If you like uriah heep, you should definitely check this band out(at least the first three albums) because they were tighter musically and both had John Lawton as vocalist. It won't astound you with crazy riffing, but it's a good solid effort. But not worth the 20 bucks they're asking here!

4 starsUtterly destructive guitar playing!
This hard to find album should be in every hard rock/progressive heads collection. The guitar tones are very mid-range and completely killer, and every song is excellent, even though I really can't get into Lovesick kid's blues. Buy it while you can!

4 starsFor 8 bucks you owe it to yourself
I agree that not all the songs on this album are blockbusters, but there are some really good jams. This is a prelude to "The Twelve Dreams..." and the atmosphere on songs like "New dope in town" is groovin' and rocking. This may not be everyones bag, but hey, for eight bucks you have bought way worse.

4 starsAnother great lost album
These songs are so good I was amazed that this band has such little recognition. I highly recommend buying the first three, the fourth is such a departure you almost wouldn't believe it's the same band, but it is also very good. You can't lose with Steamhammer.

5 starsOn the list of essentials...
I bought this because UFO1 was so groovin'. But as soon as I put this one on, I knew we were in a different galaxy! This album is one of my favorites & has remained in heavy rotation for some time. If you're in for some extended rock jams, buy this album!

4 starsThis is what the Strokes wished they sounded like..
Not an essential rock album, but a damn good one. This is the sound of transition; from Stooges to Lust for Life-this is the in-between sound. Not every song is good, but there are great ones here.

3 starsDecent
You are better off with Pleasure. Not a whole lot of outstanding tracks. This is the last album with Junie & you can tell it's not a wholehearted affair.

3 starsAt the time you had hope...
This is the Iggy Pop "metal" album.Which is to say for the time it was released you were hopeful he would return to his Stooge ways. Overall, a good catchy pop-metal foray.

3 starsGood-but not great...
There are a lot of ggod jams in this collection, some will remind of Cream, others are more original. I just can't say that this collection has ever been in heavy rotation in my stereo; who knows, maybe in time..

5 starsBeefheart comin' out to show dem...
This release is one of my favorites with such excellent tunes as "ashtray heart" & "dirty blue gene". A much heavier version of the magic band. If you like Beefheart, this one's essential.

5 starsMore introspective compared to the first one..
Another essential album from the Brothers. A mellow atmosphere is provided by all the tracks on this album-it won't steer you wrong, although the cover of "Hoochie-Coochie Man" isn't very good.

3 starsI was surprised that it wasn't real good...
With the exceptions of a few songs, this Is Grand Funk on the way down. "Phoenix" is a much better album. Some of these songs just meander around, not going anywhere....

3 starsAll the Grand Funk fans Beware!
This is the beginning of Grand Funk in decline. It is sad to think what they could have done instead of trying to become a "Pablo Cruise" style band. It's all Terry Knights fault anyway.

1 starsYou might as well throw your money in the trash
Let's see, Desmond Child-Alice Cooper collaboration? And this is supposed to be a good thing? Remember when Alice was iconoclastic & his songs were beautifully weird? This cd is a good place to set your drink on.

1 starsThis is a comeback?
I understand Alice wanted to regain his popularity & make some loot but this is a feeble attempt. Stay away from this one, his back catalog is too deep to even consider this horrible offering.
