Get Closer illustrates Ronstadt's vocal ease It appears that Linda Ronstadt was unsure of which direction to take this album as it offers quite a variety of styles or it could just be that the sequencing was off. Irregardless, her voice is the ultimate winner and she handles her vocals with ease and the perfect sentiment. The Jimmy Webb songs and "Mr. Radio" are especially nice. Shakira experiments with new sounds Fijacion Oral explores new ground for Shakira who utilizes a variety of musical styles to get her thought-provoking lyrics to her public. Unfortunately the cd seems to be over rather quickly and it is probably because there are two versions of two songs. Submitted by a reviewer (Tucson, AZ) 7/12/2005
Spectacular way to showcase classic Mexican Music Linda Ronstadt offers great performances of classic Mexican and Mariachi Music by performing with the greatest Mariach Group of all time - and one that has been together since before this music was written.
It is great that she offers insights to her family heritage/history. Submitted by a reviewer (Tucson, Arizona) 7/1/2005
