Big Ball Hotter Than Hell (2010)
FantasticSo why do we not hear more real rock and roll like this rather than the elevator music that passes today for rock?
This CD pounds from the beginning and does not stop.
It is excellent, and one can only this band will produce another CD. Submitted by a reviewer (Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex) 10/20/2012

Iron Maiden Final Frontier (2010) Top Seller
Yes, despite one oddity—very impressiveThe CD exceeded my lofty expectations with one exception (the one oddity)—the first 4:40 of the opening song, "Satellite 14...the Final Frontier."
Then it sounds like Maiden again. If you are a Maiden fan get beyond the first 4:40 minutes and then judge it. You will be glad you did. If you are not a Maiden fan then do not buy it.
The CD is a splendid achievement that far exceeded my lofty expectations.
"When the Wind Blows" is the longest and last song on the CD. This is perhaps the best song they have ever produced. EVER. It's amazing.

Kemper (2008)
Widescreen; Subtitled
The movie is worthless--don't waste your $$Cell phones? Killed policeman? No way
This movie is “based on true events”? Kemper turned himself to police—via phone call—in 1973 (or so).
That means:
(1)He never even heard of cell phones, much less used one.
(2)The cars in the movie are 2005 models. How stupid can that be?
Kemper NEVER killed a policeman. Never.
(3)The movie is worthless if you want to know about Ed Kemper.
There are so many blatant errors in the movie that to list them would be impossible.
Don't waste a dime on it.

Judas Priest Essential Judas Priest (2006)
Remastered
$15 bucks for 34 hits? What a bargain!I saw them in the late 70s. They opened for Foghat and blew Foghat away. It was funny.
This CD? Best buy I've made in quite some time when it comes to CDs.
This has HITS, not "never-heard-of-songs" on it.
$15 for 34 songs? How you gonna beat that? Submitted by a reviewer (dallas) 12/17/2008

(2) Turbo Lover, although it didn't make the charts, is the best song Judas Priest has EVER done, and that is saying a lot.

Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy
(Import)
Great band produces crap—I am disappointedWell, they were once a great band. Indeed, they were arguably one of the top-5 bands I have ever seen in concert.
So, when this CD was released, I had very high expectations that it would be the Guns N’ Roses of old. High expectations, in this case, lead to disappointment.
How embarrassing it must be for the once-great Guns N' Roses to release this miserable CD, and I can only wonder what happened to them? Did they change their take-no-enemies style because of the critics? Did they simply lose their creativity?
In the end, I’ll never know. Nor does it matter why they produced a lousy CD. But this is lousy.
Do NOT expect the Guns N’ Roses you loved as I did with Chinese Democracy or you’ll be disappointed—like I was and still am.

AC / DC Back In Black (1980) Top Seller
Remastered; Deluxe Edition
A staggering achievement and a brilliant albumWhat can one say? At the least one can say that Back in Black is staggering achievement and a brilliant album for the following 3 reasons: (1)Had to replace Bon. (2)Back in Black followed the highly successful Highway to Hell album. (3)There is no weakness in the album.
As of today, over 42-million albums of Back in Black have sold world-wide—the second highest in world history.
Quentessential AC/DC. Back in Black is an amazing album by an amazing hard-rock band. Love it. In fact, I am listening to it now ("Have a Drink on Me", to be specific).

AC / DC Black Ice (2008)
Digipak
Like AC/DC? You'll like "Black Ice"It's simple: If you like AC/DC, then you’ll like "Black Ice." Their style is classic AC/DC.
Don't like AC/DC? Then choose not to buy it (ain't free will great?).
AC/DC producing "Black Ice" after years of (seemingly) hibernating is quite impressive. It takes courage to release a CD after being inactive for years, especially when they’ve the $$ to sip Diet Cokes (right) on any beach alone (right again) and meditate (wrong word, I realize) for the rest of their lives w/o ever working again. (Actually, that concept appeals to me yet I can't do it. Oh, well...)
Releasing "Black Ice" put their reputation--their place in history--at risk it this been a “bust.” It is the polar opposite of a "bust."
Is it "Back in Black"? No, and nothing else is, either. Nor can any rock band produce anything comparable to "Back in Black" ("Thriller" ain’t rock. "Thriller" IS pathetic, I admit.)
Back to "Black Ice." Is it very good? You bet.
5,000,000 sold as of today, 30 October 2008. Seems a lot of folks agree with me. Those that don’t agree with me simply don’t agree with me and bully for them.

Metallica Death Magnetic (2008) Top Seller
Escape from "the St. Anger Insane Asylum"Kudos to Metallica for taking the risk to complete and release “Death Magnetic” after a five-year hibernation. They need not the $$, but they took the risk regardless and they “pulled it off.” Good for them.
Think of what this could have done to their reputation—their place in history—had this CD been a bust.
Well, of course, after "Metallica" was released in 1991, they set the bar so high that they cannot “clear it” again. Not ever. Period. Thus comparing "Death Magnetic" to "Metallica" is comparable to comparing my stick-man pictures to a Rembrandt—it can’t be done. This is not, however, bad news.
This is a very good CD. Metallica escaped from "the St. Anger Insane Asylum" (wonder who opened the doors and let them out?) and returned to the sane world of the Metallica style that has made them so great on "Death Magnetic."
They did it. Escaped. "Pulled it off." Good for them and good for Metallica fans.

Queen / Paul Rodgers Cosmos Rocks (2008)
a literal abomination--Queen is deadQueen and Paul Rogers deserve a lot of credit for having the courage to produce a CD, for they need not the $$, and they took the risk regardless. That is admirable, but the risk (a bust) proved to be far greater than the rewards (the style of music Queen played).
This CD is not even “kin” to the Queen that is now dead. This is pop music. Elevator music.
Need help sleeping? This is for you.
What happened to rock-n-roll (the style, the genre) that we took for granted when Freddie was alive? Why the radical (and laughable) change in style?
Want rock-n-roll? You’ll find very little on this CD.
This is simply so far below Queen’s standards that it is an abomination.
Queen is dead.
This CD is garbage.
