Megadeth Th1rt3en (2011) Top Seller
Megadeth is aging gracefully !Well 2011 is here slightly after halloween and Megadeth returns with a follow up to 2009 Endgame entitled simply Th1rt3en. The album is full of more catchy tunes and still solid Mustaine and company solos/riffs etc... basically this is a safe Megadeth release nothing that will let you down but no risk is taken either. Mustaine and the rest of Megadeth do bring us some great tracks such as "Public Enemy Number One" "Whose life is it anyway" "Re-recordings of "Black Swan", "Millenum of the Blind" an more are decent additions to the album as well. The album is more up-tempo with slightly more catchy songs then Endgame that could receive more FM radio airplay. Still this is a must have for a band that has always been a true thrash metal band an one of their best releases since the mid 90's. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 11/2/2011

Chickenfoot Chickenfoot III (2011) Top Seller
Chickenfoot III ~ A True Classic w/ a (Van-Hagar Feel)Okay so Chickenfoot III has finally arrived an in today's market of supposed supergroups Chickenfoot really stands on it's own. Their first release was a breath of fresh air for the limited hard rock scene. The album has been released in four different releases but seriously do yourself a favor an get the reg ed. The inside is cool with 3-D glasses with four band photos of each member with stats such as riffs played in a nite etc... an this is really a great value for the price of a reg ed of a new release (Heck I have purchased deluxe ed of other CD's that different offer such value) Don't buy the Deluxe Ed unless your just dying for more of the same commentary of behind the scenes footage of the band making this album an it has zero bonus tracks)~ SAVE YOUR CASH BUY THE Standard Ed release. I loved the original album and I own of copy of the second Chickenfoot release which was a (extra track bitten by the wolf & a DVD w/white coverart) but Chickenfoot iii is in a class of it's own. Personally this is the best work that Sammy and M. Anthony have ever done together. Sammy Hagar is singing better then he has in years, his song writing is great along with M. Anthony now singing two part harmonies & playing a louder more in the fore front bass then in the original release. The original chickenfoot album had more of a Joe Satriani feel to it an this album simply has more of a Van-Hagar feel. By that I mean simply that the song writing, vocals, bass, and guitar work are more refined and built to work within songs more then to simply showcase Satriani's skill set of crazy multiple riffs not to bash Satriani(he is the main reason this band exists) at all but this has more of a Van - Hagar feel. Highlights include "Big Foot" "Different Devil", "Come Closer", an lastly "alright, alright". Really their are ZERO you heard it, ZERO bad songs on this album. BUY IT NOW !!! Anthrax Worship Music (2011)
Digipak
REAL ANTHRAX RETURNSWith Joey B back at the helm handling the lead vocals what else could this album be but truly epic. This album has killer riffs, excellent song writing (although the album sat on the shelf for like 3 plus years) and lastly it is simply the best work from Anthrax since "Among the living". Really this album could have been entitled "Among the living 2" but I am glad the group went with another title. This is the 3rd best Anthrax release ever only ones that are better are "Among the living" and "Spreading the Diease". Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 9/26/2011

Trace Adkins Proud to Be Here (2011) Top Seller
Deluxe Edition
Trace is backAt long last Trace records another album that is truly back to his roots and what he does so well. The album is great and the deluxe edition offers bouns tracks that are nice as well except for the Blake Shelton song "If I was a woman" I cannot stand it but you can easily skip over that track. Outside of the Shelton song the rest of the album is Adkins return to form and a must buy. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 8/22/2011

Ronnie James DIO / Dio Ronnie James Dio Story: Mightier Than the Sword (2011)
Not worth itMan this collection is suppose to be the story of Ronnie James DIO from his time in ELF, to one indy recording, to Rainbow, Black Sabbath, DIO and Heaven & Hell which sadly ended due to DIO's passing of stomach cancer. Still this collection offers nothing that has not be released before. Honestly most of the first disc is from Rainbow an a couple of tracks from the band ELF (ronnies first group). Honestly if you already have the polydor 2 disc collection from Rainbow it makes this collection even more of a rip off. It has only seven DIO-band tracks on it and it is too heavy on Rainbow, and Sabbath material and not enough DIO for my liking plus DIO-Sabbath sets have been released to death so this makes buying this set more of a rip again. Do yourself a favor and get a good Rainbow collection and beast of DIO and save the cash for a better more complete DIO collection released by his estate and his recording label at a later day. THIS is not the complete Ronnie James DIO story as it may seem by the cover. However if you new to DIO and owe nothing that he has recorded it is worth picking up but if your a longtime fan like me this offers nothing you don't already have in your collection. Ronnie Milsap Country Again (2011)
Ronnie goes "Old School Country"Man Milsap finally releases an old school country album staying true to his 70's roots. Honestly this album may be harder for some of Milsap's fans to understand b.c. this is not and I repeat not Stranger in my house, Lost in the 50's tonight, Daydreams about Night things etc.... this album could be basically a true album recorded in the 70's and basically could have been a reissue YES IT IS THAT OLD SCHOOL. Think Don Willaims type country back when country was country and before it was cool. If you a diehard old school country nut like I am and grew up on the older real country artists then this is a CD you have be waiting for years to be released. Casual Milsap fans be warned this not his top 40 stuff. Diehards of the old school country this is a must buy and if you love Milsap as much as I do this is a must buy as well. Molly Hatchet Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: The South Has Risen Again (2011)
Second half of Hatchet's careerWell I have always been a fan of Molly hatchet even though their heyday was way before I was born. Danny Joe Brown is the greatest but this set features most of latter stages of Hatchet's career with their second leader singer. I love Silent Reign Of Heros along with Devil's Canyon and pretty much all their studio stuff up until they did the Re-Recording of the classic Danny Joe Brown stuff (you cannot replace of legend and the album tanked b.c. of that fact. Most people will be happy with owning a copy of Greatest Hit I an not carrying about the second half of latter stages of Hatchet's career but they are missing out. Disc one has all the hits you could ever need from the last couple of Molly Hatchet's albums. My only problem is including the second disc with lives tracks that have been played and heard to death pretty much since Locked & Loaded came out in 03 which is where most of these live tracks come from. Really it would have been nice to see an ultimate ed Hatchet collection come out disc one being DJB stuff, disc two being the first disc of greatest hits two featured here. Sadly record companines would never allow that so instead Greatest hit II is a great companion to the original greatest hits. Also pickup a copy of Double Trouble Live (way better then original greatest hits) and you have a complete Hatchet collection. Still if you love Southern rock you need to own this collection, but the live tracks add nothing to this set and are unecessary hince my score of 4. Ronnie Dunn Ronnie Dunn (2011)
Ronnie Dunn shines solo !!!This album in only second to Jamey Johnson last release as one of the best country albums I have heard in years. I have always loved Brooks & Dunn and Ronnie Dunn has always been the talent in that group and this album clearly proves it. This album easily blows away Kix Brooks last solo release before Brooks & Dunn really took off. Best songs are Bleed Red, I Don't Dance, I get lonely and more. Basically if this doesn't win album of the year someone in Nashville, TN is crazy. Yes it is that good. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 6/7/2011

Iron Maiden From Fear to Eternity: The Best of 1990-2010 (2011)
Finally a good best of releaseMaiden finally answer what fans have wanted all along ? Well sort of this best of set takes Maiden's later years from 1990-2010 and covers the Brave New World Album through the Final Frontier released over a year ago. Maiden had previously released somewhere back in time a single disc greatest hits package covering 1980-1989 which was met with mixed reviews. So this set is perfect for me b.c. I personally only bought Brave New World and own none of the previous releases. So if your a Maiden such as me that doesn't want to carry around four or five albums then this is your release to pickup. I just wish Maiden would release a pre 1980 greatest hits package to complete the triology of greatest hits packages already released minus Edward the Great greatest hits . Still it is Maiden and it is a must have as always. This set is better then the Essential Iron Maiden if you pair it with the single disc best of the beast release from EMI in 1996 single disc ed or if you lucky the double disc ed. Brad Paisley This Is Country Music (2011) Top Seller
Great Album ~ Brad's Best in my bookThis album is Brad's best work in a while and granted we all had to wait a while to get this in our hands but it is worth the wait. Listening to Old Alabama is my personal favorite track followed closely by this is country music and working on tan. Still the album as a whole is totally completely with no filler tracks or b-side castoff material on it. Buy this album now b.c. it is a shoe-in for country music album of the year. This collection offers nothing new for serious to normal Aerosmith fans. Anvil Juggernaut of Justice (2011)
Anvil the way it was meant to be produced ~Anvil was and still is a great heavy metal band now a trio. Anvil has always had the talent, lyrics, pretty much the whole package but where it counts the most production is where the band has always fallen short even with This is 13 some tracks just didn't sound right or up to the par of other Metal albums. Still with Juggernaunt of Justice all is fixed and the riffs are killer, Lips vocals have never been heard so clearly and Reiner's drum kit blazes trails through the record. Turn it Up is my favorite track from the CD but all have excellent sound and the album really rocks. So if you wanna hear Anvil the way they should have always been produced then buy this record today. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 5/10/2011

Black Label Society Song Remains Not the Same (2011)
ZAKK is still the manIf you love the BLS harder releases or the softer side of Mr. Wylde if their is such a thing then this is again another great release from Zakk. Unplugged CD's always kinda of make me weary but this is an exception to the rule and the track with John Rich on it is good as well. Plus for the price how can you not like this release for BLS. If you liked zakk's older releases such as Hangover Music, Book of Shadows etc... then this is a must buy. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 5/10/2011

Los Lonely Boys Rockpango (2011)
Deluxe Edition; Digipak
Best since "Sacred" album get this verison !Hey the LLB are back again with their first full length new album of true studio material since Forgiven album a couple of years ago. A live CD and 1969 LP featuring some cover tunes was released before Rockpango but Rockpango stands as some of the Boys best work since Sacred album the follow up to their Grammy winning first full length studio recording. Songs that are highlights are Road to Nowhere my personal favorite and I in love with Porn Star which starts off strange but has a great hook. American Idle & Change the World are great songs about the state of the world today and the deluxe ed comes with a poster, few bonus tracks including Smile 2 verison, Judgement Day, and Outtakes of the album session and some vids and everything is on one disc which is nice as well no bouns disc to have to hang onto which is always a good thing. All in all get this album either way but get the Deluxe Ed it is worth, support LLB and Lonelytone records asap and by this album it is going fast everywhere. Sean Connery 007 Collection, Vol. 1 (2012)
Widescreen; Remastered
FINALLY !Finally the people at MGM are releasing the James Bond films based on seperate actors who played Bond instead of various collection of mix Bond films not in any particular order aka the Ultimate Ed packs, personally having never been a fan of Roger Moore and liking Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan best I have been dying for these sets to be released and at least one volume has come out at last. Sean Connery collection Volume one contains three great Bond films including Dr. No, Goldfinger, and lastly From Russia with Love. All three films are the double disc versions (Ultimate Edition DVD's Region 1). Great price, great set, best Bond ever in Connery. Cannot wait for Volume II and then the Pierce Brosnan sets that will be released in the future. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 1/22/2011

Joe Elliott My Regeneration (2010)
Great album and really a surprise !Since their is no current def leppard album in the works Joe Elliot has dusted off his favorite covers of his favorite band Mott the Hoople. The album I must admit is not a true tribute album with songs thrown together and lacking style, grace, and basically very well organized at the sounding board and mixing table as well. I seriously doubted this album when it came out b.c. I HATE tribute albums but this albu is different and not a true dime store thrown together tribute record. Joe has never put out garbage and this album is no exception. His new badn the down 'n' outz are playing great as well. Cannot wait for volume two here which is currently in the works. Keep em coming Joe ever without the rest of Def Leppard. This album reminds me alot of the Def Leppard "Rock On" album from a couple of years ago so if you liked that you will love this. Get it now if your a Def Leppard fan or Mott the Hoople. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro,NC,USA) 12/20/2010

Helloween 7 Sinners (2010)
German Metal Gods Return To FormAt long last Helloween is back to doing their strong suit which is in your face rocking speed/power metal. Helloween last two releases an basically unplugged greatest hits album and a lackluster studio record with only two great tracks on it. However this album is truly a five out of five and every song is killer. Helloween is back just a shame they are basically forgotten about in USA anymore. I luv them and this is their best record in our five years. Buy it now. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 11/13/2010

Digipak
At Long Last DIO Heyday returns !RJD was a great metal vocalist and his performances of the past have been sort of lost in the shuffle in the past couple of years becoming out of print, backordered, etc... Great to see these two great shows from seperate tours finally released. Packaging is great, linear notes are lackluster though, but you do get two replica all access back-stage passes in the digipak. All in all a must buy some songs are medleys not posted in the track listing but you hardly notice and RJD did the producing of this set himself so this is what he wanted us to hear. If you have ever liked DIO this is a must have set from the hey-day. RIP-RJD you will never be replaced or forgotten.

Darius Rucker Charleston, SC 1966 (2010) Top Seller
Nice attemptAlthough Hootie is flying solo for the second time in his many releases this album is more of a true country record than the first. The first album learn to live still had a little to much Hootie influence on it where as this album is pure country. Album is really good start to finish and no throw tracks unlike the first release that had really only five real good tracks on it and the rest were well ho hum to stay the least and really throw aways. Charleston, SC 1966 is pure country album and the best tracks stand out tracks to me are Come back song, Whiskey & You personal favorite and I think the best song on the entire album, Southern state of Mind you will love it if you are from NC or SC especially and lastly I Don't Care featuring Brad Paisley. Other tracks are way more solid then his last release as well and the album has no b-sides or throw aways on it except maybe one or two depending on how tough you rate an album hence the rating and it has a much better flow and concept. A must buy for any true Rucker/Carolina/ or Hootie fan. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 10/13/2010

Jamey Johnson Guitar Song (2010)
Truly great albumGreat to see their is one true country artist left in this so called "pop-country" era of country music. Jamey Johnson is the real deal folks. This album had better win country album of the year b/c it is truly great. White album is more of my favorite some great songs on both however. "Front porch swing afternoon" is my true favorite. I must buy for anyone who has ever listened to real country music. Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie and more would be proud. BUY THIS ! Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 9/27/2010

Bob Marley & The Wailers Gold (2005)
Remastered
What no Three Little Birds ?How could they miss such a great track by Bob ? Seriously I guess I have two keep my copy of legend for "Three Little Birds" and one or two other tracks that record company forgot to put on this collection. The collection is great and I like the repackaged cover b/c it sticks out more and doesn't look like all the rest of the gold sets released. But it sucks that it is missing a few key tracks like the one I mentioned above which is a biggie and knocks the overall score of the set down by one star in my book, still the set is great deal and a must have for any Bob Marley fan. Iron Maiden Final Frontier (2010) Top Seller
Different is Nice.Well another year & another Iron Maiden album. Really Maiden and went the money route cashing in on replaying stuff past albums such as the live Flight 666 stuff and the last two studio records have fallen short in my book. This album however is different in a good way b/c it is not typical Maiden sounding album. Sounds more like a completely different group entirely. This album may have a shot chart in the United States b/c it is so different and it seems to be selling quite well. While it is not old-school Maiden it is worth a buy if you have ever liked the band. I like the album alot and was very hesistant to purchase it however I am glad I did and you should be this record now . Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC , USA) 8/18/2010

Ozzy Osbourne Scream (2010)
Seriously LackingOkay so their another year another Ozzy comeback album well sort of. Personally I have been a fan of Ozzy for years and was happy to see him w/ reality shows and so much media coverage over the past ten years. However his music is simply no longer up to the level or par that it once was. This album is easily the worst in recent memory and at-least Black Rain had some tracks that you could at-least tolerate but Scream fails at every in. Ozzy song-writing and band sounds terrible and letting Zakk Wylde leave is terrible move by the Oz man. Zakk and BLS new single totally rips anything that is on this record. Really only song that is any good is Scream. Dig Em' Down or whatever the title is and Soul Sucker are awful. I mean Ozzy come on get your old band back together and dump these Rob Zombie cast offs you are currently playing and touring with. No ZAKK WYLDE = FAILURE IN MY BOOK. DON'T BUY THIS ALBUM ! Johnny Cash American VI: Ain't No Grave (2010) Top Seller
Digipak
A Final Swan Song for the Man in BlackOkay I must admit that I have was brought up on Johnny Cash since I could crawl and have several albums, mp3 tracks, etc... and I was listening to him way before the Rick Rubin albums or latter stages of his great career. Now with that said I was not in favor of the previous Rick Rubin release A Hundrer Highways due to the lack quality tracks on the album, simply put the song selection by Rick was way off on A Hundred Highways for me at-least.
However with that said this album is great and has wonderful tracks, flow, etc... The stars on this album for me are the title track "Aint no Grave", "For the Good Times & Satisfied Mind" Covers made popular by Elvis Presley and M. Stuart (in that order), and lastly " I don't hurt anymore" which for me is best on this album.
No weakness on this final record from the partnership of Rubin and Cash. If this is truly the last of Cash recordings it truly is an epic swan song and a must have for any type of fan of Cash's recordings from any era of his career. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 2/24/2010

Justin Moore Justin Moore (2009) Top Seller
Average at bestI got very excited when I heard the title track off this 1st ever major label release by Justin Moore however it is just simply a one hit wonder type of album. One really three good cuts here and they are "Small Town USA", "I could kick your a@#!", and lastly "Grandpa". The rest of the album is just average and I am sick of the hick hop or pop country stuff and the recording of "back it up" is just dumb and a ceasey rip off of Trace Adkins/Randy Houser bar pleaser. Simply a decent 1st release but not a buy at all. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 10/25/2009

Lynyrd Skynyrd God & Guns (2009) Top Seller
Special Edition
Good Return for the Southern / Country Rock IconsGreat to see that Skynyrd is still out their and putting out new albums that are really right on par with their classic releases. I like this album although Billy Powell is featured on a track but is sadly no longer with us. Only really a few cuts that just seem werid on this edition and that is "Hobo Kinda Man" and of course Skynyrd Nation" and lastly "Storm" is fair to average as well. However the whole rest of the album is simply a blessing to listen to; an is still better than "Vicious Cycles" b/c that album died off after "Mad Hatter" and the title track "Red White and Blue" - feature on this edition live. Extra Cd here is worth the cash b/c it has three great live cuts as well as a great track called "Raining in My Heartland" which should have made the reg album cut.
Great album but BUY THE SPECIAL EDITION ! Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 10/25/2009

Megadeth Endgame (2009) Top Seller
Best release in the past 10 years !!!Megadeth is back and better than ever; of their past three releases this is definately their best. You could tell they were close but just not their with United Abombinations. Mustaine is simply the man and is only getting better with age like a fine wine. Metal with killer riffs and original recording material is the name of the game here. No old drum beats, older reused guitar riffs a.k.a. Metallica and their last junk album. Love Endgame and it is right up their with Rust in Peace and Peace Sells !!! Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC) 9/20/2009

A second album with alot of the first !!Okay so I have been a Confederate Railroad fan and I originally found out that Cody McCarver was releasing his first album entitled "Peace, Love and Coondawgs" I thought it was cool. Sadly it was a limited indy release and it sounded awful. This album sounds professionally recorded but I would have liked to see alittle bit more in the way of new songs. Still this guys needs to get the attention of Nashville b/c it is a great country rocker and slower tear jerking country album. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC) 9/20/2009

Iron Maiden Flight 666 (2009)
Another Live Album or so you thinkOkay another live maiden album, not so fast this is actually alot better than their last 3 studio/live albums combined. Caught the movie on VH1 classic and thought hmmmm okay I will pick up the soundtrack. Boy I was surprised b/c the energy and quality is their best, since probably Live after Death, which is still their best live album to date. All in all a good buy at a good price and it is worth adding to your collection. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC USA) 6/14/2009

simply greatBought this album b/c I have been a Hagar fan since about age of 5, however I am like everyone when it comes to so called supergroups a'la vh1 & their junky TV shows and of course the Hellyeah supergroup. However this album is worth the price and it is basically a Van-hagar album for 2009 and it is alot better than sammy last solo release which I thought was awful and I couldn't even get passed the second track of it. This is a must buy period and to those whom don't like it you must not like great rock music. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC, USA) 6/11/2009

Ronnie Milsap Then Sings My Soul (2009)
Simply Amazing!!!Wow, another great release from Milsap and with this one he returns home to his Carolina roots singing good old fashion southern hymns. The truthly get thing about this collection is that you acutally believe that Ronnie is feeling and enjoying what he is singing and you can really get into it. The truth comes out with this release and for Ronnie it could bring a return to top form. Simply Great and a must buy period. I am not a Gospel fan, never really even owned one Gospel collection but this release is just to good to miss out on. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, N.C. USA) 3/11/2009

Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy
(Import)
A New Direction!I believe it was a year or so after App. came out that Axl said he had to bury it and move on. He did w/ Use your illusion I & II but Chinese democracy is actually a total new direction that I honestly thought GnR could never pull off. If you want to here Slash and others listen to Velvet Revolver stuff which isn't bad either but Democracy is a good CD not great but a true fan will buy it. Finally I am sick and tried of hearing about how it doesn't sound like the old GnR ?? Of course it doesn't do you think if Slash was back in the fold they could produce another Appetite ??? NO ! You only get one of those is a lifetime folks. At-least we where lucky enough to witness it. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, N.C., USA) 11/30/2008

Their BACK !!!To anyone who doesn't like the new Def Leppard album I have news for you guys they did more that just Pyromania and Hysteria and they have only gotten better with age. How can you not like the new material I mean the whole cd is great and it is a classic def leppard sound/album. After X, and Yeah this is good sign that they are going back to their traditional style of music. All the songs are good and the album is their most complete in years. A 5 out of 5 and beyond is what I would score it and judging by how it is selling I think most fans agree. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC) 5/1/2008

Hitman: Blood Money
LackingThe new installment of the Hitman franchise from EIDOS Int. is really lacking in many areas. To be quiet honest the game is very repetitive and often times it has uninspiring gameplay. Also the game has a little problem on the PS2 verison only on the NEW ORLEANS mission the game at some spots will lock up when grabbing the diamond briefcase which is required to complete the mission. Really I think this game is a rent at best and even on the expert setting or above you could beat it in a weekend. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, NC) 6/5/2006

Great CD!This guy is one of a very few artists coming out in country music today that are going back to what classic country is all about, no sing of high school days or lost loves or drama here, just the good old stuff. Great Album, this guy should win best new artist award at the CMA's in 06'. Submitted by a reviewer (Holtj04@AOL.com) 12/15/2005

Solid EffortGreat Album for Tracy since he kinda disappeared from the music seen after about 1995. So this is good album featuring songs about hardships and troubling times in Tracy's life. Each one of the songs mean different things to different people so go out and get it. Submitted by a reviewer (Greensboro, N.C.) 6/19/2005

Dio Master of the Moon (2004) Top Seller
Its Killing the Dragon w/ some Up Tempo TracksThis Dio album is like Killing the Dragon expect it has some up tempo tracks and not everything is so dark and gloomy like their last release was. I was a fan of Killing the Dragon and brought the Tour edition version this CD Master of the Moon is very solid and has a good mixture of sound, I would say it is a good buy for and pop rock, rock, or metal fan.
