Wiggle Outta This
$13.55 All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology.
Bay Area bluesman Tommy Castro's fourth release on Blind Pig Records follows the same formula for success as his previous CAN'T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN. Over the years, Castro's sizzling live performances have made him a staple of the blues circuit along the California coast.
Packed with Memphis-style horns, RIGHT AS RAIN features the tasty session work of Dr. John on two tracks, as well as a terrific duet with Delbert McClinton on the R&B cooker "Don't Turn Your Heater Down." As a singer, Castro is part shouter, part crooner, with a style suggestive of Jeff Healey. His immaculate, accomplished guitar playing has been widely praised, drawing comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughn and Duane Allman.

| | Jonny Lang Lie To Me CD (1997)
Wiggle Outta This
$11.99 Nipping at the heels of wiz-kid blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who debuted at age 18, comes 16-year-old Jonny Lang, the most soulful guitar slinger ever to make it out of junior high school. Lang's debut, much like Shepherd's LEDBETTER HEIGHTS, features a mix of choice covers and co-written originals. But whereas HEIGHTS leans in a Delta-blues direction, Lang's blues has more of an R&B flavor.
The Clavinet and Hammond B-3 organ on the title track and "Hit The Ground Running" help give LIE TO ME a funky swagger. As for influences, Lang's choices of Ike Turner's "Matchbox" and Syl Johnson's "Back For A Taste Of Your Love" show a taste for rousing shuffles and Memphis soul. Lang shows his commercial instincts by wrapping up the album with "When I Come To You" and the acoustic "Missing Your Love," two songs that wouldn't sound out of place on a recent Eric Clapton album.
Recorded at Oar Fin Studios, Minneapolis, Minnesota and House Of Blues, Memphis, Tennessee.

Wiggle Outta This
$9.29 Comprised of material taken from Dave Edmunds' stint on Led Zeppelin's Swan Song label, BEST OF DAVE EDMUNDS is a solid representation of an artist who managed to balance a love of '50s and '60s rock & roll with a perfectly hewn contemporary pop sensibility. Blessed with a twangy guitar and a soulful croon, Edmund here covers infectious-sounding material by friends like Graham Parker ("Crawling From the Wreckage"), Elvis Costello ...

Box 11149Cincinnati, Ohio. 45211-0149I was born and raised in the Midwest part of the country on the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio. I believe that this part of the country is one of the best-kept secrets as being one of the best places to live in this great country of ours. When I was 18 years old, I played & sang for a season on the Delta Queen River boat, where I worked as a watchman. A few years later I joined a local country/bluegrass band as lead singer and guitarist where I played for many years in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. It was during this time, that I developed a great love and respect for country/bluegrass music. We were the opening act, on many occasions for some well known artists. I went on to play bass and rhythm guitars and sang lead for a few top 40 groups. I wasn’t as happy with top 40 however, and found myself coming full circle – back to country music, where I am today, writing and recording. It was great to know that the last CD recording we made, "In My Own Words" was played on radio stations all over the world and here in the United States! It was estimated at one time there were approximately 1,000 radio stations playing my songs and many stations still are. It would be nice to know that this latest ...
