Greatest Hits album
$10.15 Although he began his career singing backup for musicians such as Lionel Richie and Madonna, Richard Marx made his mark on the pop music scene in 1987 with his hit single, "Don't Mean Nothing." Over the next ten years, Marx racked up thirteen top five singles and four multi-platinum albums; his biggest are included on GREATEST HITS, including familiar songs like "Hold Onto the Nights," the sweet ballad "Now and Forever," and the kicky, uptempo "Satisfied." Other standouts include "Angel's Lullaby," which was included on the Pediatric AIDS Foundation benefit cd, FOR OUR CHILDREN TOO, and which Marx wrote for his young sons: "I was never alive til the day I was blessed ...

| | Carter Family 1927-1934 CDs (2002) (Import) United Kingdom
Greatest Hits music CDs
$26.79 A comprehensive budget compilation by the dependable JSP label, the five-disc 1927-1934 fully covers the first seven years of the Carter Family's musical career and features recordings that are the basis of the trio's honored place in the country music firmament. The set starts, appropriately enough, with the Carters' six contributions to Ralph Peer's legendary 1927 recording sessions in Bristol, Tennessee, and then chronologically wades through every released side that A.P., Sara, and Maybelle recorded for RCA Victor. (This excludes alternate takes that are readily available on Rounder and Bear Family reissues covering the same era.)
Unlike similar collections, where much of the listening intrigue comes from charting the artists' development, the Carters' sound is presented fully formed ...
| | Elton John Greatest Hits 1970-2002 CDs (2002) Digipak
Greatest Hits songs
$14.89 Initial pressings of this first edition contain a bonus disc.
Recorded between 1970 & 2002. Includes liner notes by Paul Gambaccini.
Here you go, Elton fans--a definitive two-disc collection of some of the bespectacled one's most beloved tunes. The full gamut of Elton John's stellar career is covered here. The archetypal singer-songwriter introspection of "Your Song" kicks things off, giving way in short order to the more glam pop moments of "Honky Cat" and "Saturday Night's All Right For Fighting." The Roy Orbison-like ballad "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and the moving, mournful "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" represent the sadder side of the usually sunny popster. The second disc digs into Elton's later work, coming ...
| | Lionel Richie Definitive Collection CD (2003) Remastered
Greatest Hits album
$10.39 The first pressings of THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION included a bonus disc featuring rare tracks.
Although Lionel Richie was AWOL for most of the '90s, he's still a pop culture force to be reckoned with, and THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION ably supports this assertion. Between his work as a frontman for The Commodores, songwriter for other artists, and as a solo act, Richie became the only songwriter to score nine chart-toppers in nine consecutive years. Aside from Kenny Rogers' "Lady" and USA For Africa's "We Are The World," (co-written with Michael Jackson), all the other #1's are here: "Endless Love" (with Diana Ross), "Truly," "Hello," "All Night Long (All Night)," "Say You, Say Me," "Still" and "Three Times A Lady." That's not even counting the man's other Top 10 hits including further Commodores manna like "Easy" (later a hit remake for Faith No More). Throw in solo sides like the infectious "Dancing On the Ceiling" and the urgent "Running With The Night" and its easy to hear how Richie nonchalantly dominating the charts throughout the '80s. He brings things up-to-date with two new songs: the slow rolling Enrique Iglesias duet "To Love a Woman" and the piano ballad "Goodbye."
Includes liner notes by Steven Ivory.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.

| | Gran Bel Fisher Full Moon Cigarette CD (2006) Digipak
Greatest Hits album
$9.75 Just 23 years old when he recorded his debut album, Ohio native Gran Bel Fisher comes across as a seasoned pro, with a deep, chesty voice that suggests a few too many of those eponymous cigarettes, and a confident way with a melody, evoking a young Jackson Browne or Tom Petty. Big old-fashioned rock production ...
| | Five In Crisis Etched In Stone CD (2007)
Greatest Hits CD music
$16.45 Five In Crisis was born in Los Angeles to five musicians who transplanted from elsewhere in the country, and chose to make LA their home. Each of the musicians brought with them the basic DNA of various musical styles, formal training, and experience to make Five In Crisis a strong classic rock style band. No gimmicks or extreme melodic games, just straight forward easy to listen to lyrics, with a groove that cuts through to the core of anyone who’s experienced everything that life has to offer. Fredric and Ralph Johnson’s melody’s and lyrics waste no time in getting to the point of it all.Ralph’s guitar leads are clean and magically catchy; you’re guaranteed to hear them playing in your head long after the music has played. Fredric’s soft vocal style is unpretentious, yet familiar. He will immediately warm your heart. Scott Chaney holds the reigns on the drums and percussion, and does a handy job singing and adding memorable strong backing vocals when called upon. Roger Corso, perhaps the most rehearsed Bass player in LA, is the stability of the Five In Crisis sound which is remarkably in direct contrast to his energetic big city Michigan honed demeanor. Ray Anthony’s voice is effortlessly controlled and powerful yet unpredictable in his versatility and range. After playing in LA’s Inland Empire music scene for the last few years, Five In Crisis hit the Eastgate Media Studio in 2006 for their first time self produced ...
