The events begin in 11,000 BC when a meteorite from Mars strikes the Antarctic ice. It isn't until 1984 that it is discovered by mankind and labeled ALH 84001. A dozen years later, NASA's analysis is complete and the existence of alien microfossils confirmed. In 2009, a manned mission to Mars to investigate bacterial life is launched with the establishment of the Vita 1 base the result.
And now, in 2018, all communication with the base has been terminated. Vita 1's last message is the enigmatic: "If you send a manned craft, warn the crew to stay alone, stay alive." Nearly a year later, a team sent to investigate survives a crash on the Martian surface and arrives at the derelict base. Following the advice of the last message from Vita 1, each member enters the base through a separate airlock.
In Martian Gothic: Unification, a survival-horror adventure, you play as all three team members, guiding each on his or her path of exploration to solve the mysteries of Vita 1 and Mars itself. The team must work together, yet remain apart, to discover the cause of the infection plaguing them at the base and eventually uncover the ancient secret buried deep below the Martian surface.
In a script written by science fiction author Stephen Marley, you'll guide the actions of the three members from a third-person perspective, reminiscent of Resident Evil. Each member carries an inventory, health and poison indicator and a weapon. The action unfolds as the members explore the environment and discover objects, computers, storage bins, bodies and vacuum tubes used to transport items around the base to each other.
Game saves are accomplished through access of the Vita 1 base computer system. It contains unrestricted, restricted and local information about the base as well as a videogame called Martian Mayhem II, generally considered the "worst game in the history of videogaming" (the game's development began in 1998 and finally hit store shelves in December 2017). The number of saves available at each computer station is limited, thus requiring the eventual use of more than one.
Explore the Red Planet through the eyes of Matlock, Kenzo and Karne as you discover a secret older than humanity itself in Martian Gothic: Unification.

Spoiler!! dont read if you dont play. Oh my god this is so scary !!!!!
This game has lots of horrific stuff trust me. If you play this you wont ever play it again. You play as three characters named Kenzo a Japanese infomesh, Martin Karne, an explosion expert, Matlock a British female scientist are on a mission to explore a base on Mars which has gone silent for 10 months. If you play it the Characters must not come together otherwise its game over (Try it if you dare!!!) In this game has a lot of horror stuff in this. Zombies, Monstrous giant Trimorphs, (Dont get close to them), Ghosts, Haunted alleys,
the sleeping queen of Akarak (Akarak the original name of Mars by the extinct aliens the Akarakians)and some shooting zombies ( LOL when did zombies learn how to use guns ), hard scary puzzles, a mental survivor of the base who tells you scary riddles you have as puzzles in the game, Micro Recorders ( JUST LIKE A ORIGINAL RECORDER THAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE BASE MEMBERS AT THE FINAL HOURS OF THEIR LIVES) and finally creepy stuff and sounds in the game ( BEWARE OF TRIMORPH FOOTSTEPS).
The purpose of Vita Base 1 ( Bases name ) was to investigate an old martian civilization. They got the information from a crashed meteor in 10000 BC. Base members opened a Akarakian queens sarcophagus and release a virus or something that changes people into zombies. A base member names Yuri Andreivich sent a final message to earth...Stay Alone and Stay Alive...at the end Martin Karne sacrifices himself to save the 2 others.
You know whats bad the movement, voice acting of Kenzo and Matlock (In my opinion their voice acting was cool ) its endings
In the PS1 ending, it sucks. In the PC ending is way more cooler. Back on earth Kenzo and Matlock owe their lives to Karne And Artificial intelligence computer MOOD who guides and warns them of Hazards along the way
MOOD explains she is free to explore infinite space but chooses to watch things on Mars. The Arakian queen seen in a panning view in the Mars landscape while MOOD is talking after MOOD finishes talking the camera zooms over to a face and an army of zombies the face will be horrible. Ill not tell you who it is. Aka Q Submitted by fnarceda (Sacamento, California) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo 1 of 1 found this helpful.

Martian Gothic: Unification Review Chrono Cross is the sequel to the 16-bit Chrono Trigger, a game in which many role-playing fans considered to be on par, if not better than the developers' other role-playing series, Final Fantasy. For those who are new to the franchise, it combined a turn-based battle system with an intense storyline and a host of classic characters.
As one of the only games to receive a perfect score from Famitsu, a well-respected Japanese gaming magazine, the storyline of Chrono Cross goes beyond the norm, as it concerns alternate dimensions as well as time travel. It focuses on the adventure of a boy named Serge who, on a dungeon exploration trip, stumbles into a parallel world in which his life had been cut short. After gathering his courage, Serge sets out to solve the mystery of his death.
Along the way, Serge will encounter a motley group of companions -- a total of 40 different characters will wander into the scene and interact with the protagonist. Each has his, her, or its, own unique personality traits and background story. For example, a female barkeep named Orlha is searching for a long lost sister while an accomplished wrestler known as Jillbert guards a gravesite. Many characters are of a non-human race. Kabu is a lazy, unproductive vegetable man and Irenes is a mermaid that uses healing abilities to cure those wounded in battle.
The battle system is a little different than the usual "pick a single attack and wait" equation. Instead, Chrono Cross introduces the use of stamina points. Each character is gifted with seven stamina points at the beginning of a fight. Battle options are divided into weak, middle and strong powers with the more powerful attacks requiring a larger number of stamina points. Therefore, you can use any combination of moves within the seven-point range. If you'd like a single massive strike, go ahead and pick a strong power hit. If you'd rather land the first blow, pick a weak attack and utilize your quickness.
Additionally, the magical system is based on a combination of fighting and spell casting. As you attack a monster, you'll gain the power to cast a variety of magic spells. If you plan on taking it easy, your characters will never become powerful magicians. A bar indicates the level of your magical power; as it grows, you'll gain the ability to cast increasingly powerful incantations. The characters can combine spells to unleash some big time destruction.
Chrono Cross is a single-player adventure compatible with the PlayStation's Dual Shock Analog Controller and memory card device. Can you unravel the mystery of Serge's untimely death? He's counting on you!

Martian Gothic: Unification Game As Gabriel Logan, one of the government's top agents, you must neutralize the terrorists that threaten Washington D.C. and destroy a biological weapon that has been built to end the lives of millions of innocent people. The action unfolds over thirteen missions that are chock full of dangers, hazards and puzzles.
Syphon Filter is based around a covert operation sent in to disarm a lethal virus code of the same name. To successfully complete your mission, you must utilize each of your character's skills accordingly. Logan will have to kneel, crouch, walk, roll, climb, jump and run to meet his objectives. Each one serves a different purpose and it will be up to you whether you should try to jump a laser-alarm or crawl under it.
Fortunately for you, a wide variety of weaponry and special gadgets have been supplied. The weapons range from explosive grenades and tasers to silenced rifles and pistols. Like your character's maneuvers, each weapon should be used with precision and planning. For instance, a stealth mission would require the use of quiet weaponry -- a taser (electric shocker) or a silenced pistol would do the trick. For an all out war with an army of terrorists, you'd have to break out the heavy artillery including grenades and automatic firearms.
The game is played from a 3rd person perspective much like Tomb Raider. The various indoor and outdoor environments and character models have been rendered in 3D. Because the action gets pretty heated sometimes, the developers included a few different targeting modes to help out. There is the default mode, manual look/aim and target lock. When you're in a gun battle, you are given the option to lock on to your closest foe.
Each level starts of with a mission briefing carefully outlining what it is that needs to be done. These details can be accessed anytime throughout the game via a communication device. This device also handles the weapon systems and game options. Additionally, Syphon Filter supports the Dual Shock Analog Controller for precision aiming and vibration.
Washington D.C. is threatened by the deployment of a biological weapon capable of killing millions. Gabe Logan is the country's only chance to infiltrate the terrorist operation and ensure the deadly Syphon Filter virus doesn't contaminate the public. The action unfolds with heated non-stop gunfire, international intrigue and a conspiracy that deepens as the body count rises. Plunge into this suspenseful thriller where enemies are taken on in a hail of bullets or taken out with a stealthy click of the silencer's trigger.
Carefully designed third person perspective drops the player into real-world, open 3D environments.
Counter-terrorism, special reconnaissance and direct action mission objectives add gripping intensity to the action-packed plot.
Multiple weapon targeting modes: default, manual look/aim and target lock.
Thirteen vast levels to explore and a host of brain-twisting puzzles to solve deliver the challenge of split-second decision-making.
