Everyone's favorite marsupial makes his GameCube debut in his biggest adventure yet. This time Neo-Cortex has had enough. Having been defeated one too many times, Cortex has developed a Super Secret weapon to finally rid himself of his arch-nemesis, Crash Bandicoot. Cortex has been busy building Crunch, a genetically engineered super-creature designed for one thing only, to defeat Crash Bandicoot once and for all! There is just one thing missing? a power source for the new diabolical creation. Uka Uka, Cortex's master, calls upon the powers of the slumbering "Elementals." These four ancient masks harness the powers of earth, fire, water and air. If Cortex's super weapon wears these masks, he will then hold the power of the elements! However, to power this weapon, Cortex has set up bases around the planet, sucking the earth dry of its valuable elemental resources. It's up to Crash Bandicoot and his sister Coco to defeat Cortex and his monstrous creation before they take over the world! Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex Games Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Crash material? I have been an avid gamer since atari. When I saw crash first come out on the playstation, I had to have it! That game was the best of the series. I did however buy 2, 3, ctr racing, and crash bash. So, of course I would buy this game. I read reviews before purchasing about the long load times but being an avid crash fan I couldn't resist. I was highly disappointed. The loads I adjusted to but the gameplay was so-so. All enemies are lame--basically they don't turn to you they just attack in a pattern. so, there aren't any, just obstacles. Story line, well there really isn't one, boring. Nice graphics but they call for you to be able to go into them. CoCo has no special moves even after you acquire them with crash. New vehicles are okay, but would have liked to be able to use them aside from running away from things. I am still playing the game and for $25 I can't really complain to much since I paid $40 for all the other crash games on a ps1. But they were better, so my question is: why is this a ps2 game? Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex Hints On the Crash and Burn level there is an easier way to get the red gem on the death route. After you pass all the nitro boxes and lava you will get to the part where you can see the red gem from across a gorge. Hit the gem with your bazooka and you get the gem. Then die and it will take you back to the last check point and finish the game from there. You will finish with the red gem. This way you don't have to cross the gorge with the long jump: slide, double jump and spin.
