Myst III: Exile review. Steer the fate of the galaxy in this Japanese-style console RPG full of magic, science fiction, gods, and demons. Through an adventure set four hundred years after the events of Star Ocean: The Second Story, players follow the tale of Fate Linegod, an Earth lad on the brink of manhood, who travels with his family to a planet on the edge of the mighty Galaxy Federation's influence. Though protected by the Federation, the planet is attacked by an unknown alien force, and all its cities are destroyed. After losing his parents in a second attack, while fleeing to a place of refuge, Fate and his friend Sofia must now face their true destiny, together but alone.
In an endless sea of stars at the edge of the universe a single fateful encounter is about to take place. For the gods have set forth on a quest to destroy the universe. And a deadly meteorite which they hurled into the vastness of space has collided with an unsuspecting planet Expel- putting the wheels of fate into motion. Now two people are about to cross paths and their meeting will force them to endure both the gods and their devilish advisors. Fate Linegod from Earth journeys with his family and friend Sofia Esteed to a protected planet under the control of the Galaxy Federation. Before long the planet is attacked by unknown alien troops and much of the planet including both cities and countryside are destroyed. Star Ocean builds on the first-rate concepts of earlier games in the series and leverages the technological capabilities of the PlayStation 2 to surpass them.
