This game is soooo cool. It clears up tons of what I didn't know about the matrix (like what the heck Niobi and Ghost were doing in the first movie). Dude, if your a matrix fan, THEN YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS GAME!!!

wooooow!!!!! this game is apsolutely fantastic!!! the focus moves let you pul off the infamous 'bullet time' and the agent are as mean and cool as ever. I pai £20.00 for my copy, and it has been woryh every penny.

 another rushed game in the "from-the-movie" trend
I expected at least average overall from this game; i guess that'd be asking too much. I'm a hardcore matrix fan, but this game was EXTREMELY dissapointing. Good thing I had enough sense to rent it before buying it; I played it for about a good hour, then promptly returned it. The graphics, background, even the intro, are horrid. From what I hear, some environmental scenes near the end levels are unfinished.
Needless to say, I wouldn't add this to your Matrix collection. Let's just hope they make it up with Matrix Online.

Great Fun
This game proves a new and different insight on the Matrix World. Rather than playing the game from Neo or Trinity's view it lets you see through the eyes of auxilary charcters, Ghost and Niobe. Gameplay is excellent, focus mode brings life to combat aspects of the game. The intricate fighting techniques are superlative, surpassing numerous fighting designed games. The shooting is great, using the actual sorts of guns relevant to The Matrix like Ghost's SIG Sauer P229s, Niobe's Beretta 9000S and even Smith's .50AE Desert Eagles. The downsides are probably the lack of gore and challenge.

I personally enjoyed the fact that the game didn't follow the main charecters. just for the fact that it's a tottaly different story. I love the bullet-time fighting and gunplay. There are a few bugs to be fair, but it's not to the point where you can't play the game.

The game has the truly authentic, photo-realistic Matrix 'look' based on unparalleled collaboration with the actual movie making production crew. The fight sequences in the game are choreographed by Master Wo Ping (Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon, Iron Monkey) and his team of expert disciples. Just like he did in the movie, Wo Ping gives you the power to run on walls or take down a room of enemies without breaking a sweat.
The game contains incredible visual effects including advanced particle engine and world destruction as seen in the Matrix movie.

Enter The Matrix Hints There are several combat moves that they don't tell you about in the manual or in the strategy guide. I have found a few: - Custom combosYou can use combos of punches AND kicks instead of punches OR kicks. You can even add a throw to the end of some. Try these:
CIRCLE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE
CIRCLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, DOWN + CIRCLE + TRIANGLE - Gun throwsEquip a gun and approach and enemy. Push Punch +Kick to perform a throw. Your character will pump a few rounds into them. You can shoot agents this way.
- Gun countersWhen fighting hand-to-hand, push the fire button, and your character will pull out the gun, shoot the enemy, and exit hand-to-hand combat mode. You can shoot agents this way too.
- Lethal unequipApproach an enemy, barehanded. (This enemy must have a gun other than a pistol) Tap focus and action. Your character will take the gun right out of his hands and use it against him. Ghost always leaves the enemy dead after this move, and Niobe does 50% of the time.
- Defeat agentsYou can defeat an agent by using 3 shots from the grenade launcher or three offensive grenades (the latter is more difficult) or any combination, as long as you hit him with three. Then, you can take his gun. It is the .50AE, the best pistol in the game.
