A deadly plague is taking hold on a grimy, post-apocalyptic planet Earth. But a cure for the disease could lie in the computer brain of a cyborg named Pearl Prophet -- who's in the possession of a lowlife gang of mutants, led by the evil, imposing Fender. Attempting to save the world is heroic Gibson Rickenbacker, who pursues and battles the thugs for ownership of Pearl. But Gibson also has revenge on his mind, for Fender murdered Gibson's family many years ago. The America of the future is a wasteland of anarchy and incurable disease. When a cyborg whose brain contains the formula for a plague cure is captured by cannibalistic pirates, a good-hearted mercenary springs into action to deliver her safely to the Centers for Disease Control. Cyborg Movie Review Average Rating: (3.4 out of 5 stars) Cyborg was ahead of it's time. This movie was an acton pack thriller before the opening credits even started. Also if your an individual that likes a super human villain, pick this up. The last fighting sequence in Atlanta shows Van-damme's skill and martials power that rips the villain apart. I'm talking physically giving it to him. The movie is power, skill, and passion that keeeps your attention. Just bye it and you'll enjoy. From what I have seen Cyborg was ahead ot it's time. Astounding Rule of dumb: The way to quickly check a movie is to check the intelligence of the reviewers. For each spelling mistake in the first four reviews on this film, please minus one star from the apparent quality of the film. If you can't find any faults, hey well that means this film is FOR YOU dear. PS it really is quite rubbish, even second time round, even whilst watching ironically! NOT THE BEST ONE FOR ME THIS MOVIE REALLY IS NOT THE BEST ONE FOR VAN DAMME, FIRST THE FX ARE REALLY VERY POOR, LIKE HOMEMADE FXs, AND THE OTHER REASON IS THAT IN ALL THE MOVIE YOU JUST HEAR SCREAMS AND GOARS ALL THE TIME, AT THE END OF THE MOVIE REALLY YOU ARE TIRED OF. I THINK THAT THIS IS A VERY CHAPE MOVIE, NEVER LIKE UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, TIMECOP OR HARD TARGET. Submitted by dierub (SANTIAGO - CHILE) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Ahead of it's time! Though it's been firmly stated that Jean Claude Van Damme falls into the category of struggle acting, you cannot deny his swirling martial arts moves that he really knows how to grace the screen with.
I only recently saw this film yesterday evening and really does offer some really refreshing memories. This has to be for me anyway, an underrated classic. I liked the whole concept that the film payed homage to other classics like Mad Max of a future paluged with misery, thus dominated by cut-throat madmen.
In this Jean Claude really knows how to kick ass. Like Deep Blue Sea, this another one of those types of films you may want to sit back and watch with a couple of friends just to enjoy a bit of wham-bang entertainment for the next two hours.
Go see you won't be disappointed. Submitted by a reviewer (London, England.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Police, The - Greatest Hits DVD (1992)
Cyborg film
$22.09 One of the most innovative rock bands of the 1980's, The Police made edgy, often spooky pop music that was infused with a distinctly reggae beat. Icily handsome lead singer Sting and risk-taking drummer Stewart Copeland anchored the band's unique sound, and The Police became as successful as they were revolutionary. GREATEST HITS includes the music videos for all of their chart toppers, from the undeniably catchy "De Do Do Do De Da Da Da" (as British comedy character Alan Partridge described it -- "their gibberish classic") to the eerie love song "I'll Be Watching You."
NTSC/Region 0. Import only collection released to coincide with the band's 30th Anniversary. Features 16 video clips including four tracks that did not make the US 'Every Breath You Take: The Classics' collection, 'So Lonely', 'The Beds To Big Without You', 'Synchronicity 2' and 'Tea In The Sahara'.
