In this episode of the British comedy series "Jeeves & Wooster," Bertie's pal Gussie Fink-Nottle tries to get over his fear of his future father-in-law. To accomplish this, the bumbling Gussie writes down all the elderly man's faults. However, he makes a potentially dangerous error when he misplaces the book that contains his scribblings on the subject. Although he's happy when Stiffy Byng finds it, Gussie discovers that she won't fork it over until he does her a big favor... Meanwhile, Bertie Wooster also finds himself in trouble, because someone has swiped a cop's hat and the police suspect him of being the thief. Soon the innocent Bertie's behind bars. Will Jeeves come to his aid?

Bertie's chum Gussie is up in arms when a notebook in which he listed his prospective father-in-law's faults falls into the wrong hands. When a lady friend finds it, she extorts a favor which Jeeves and Bertie try to fulfill. Based on characters created by P.G. Wodehouse.
