Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Live Action; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re A live-action adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic 1883 novel. The tale centers on an elderly puppet-maker named Geppetto, and his relationship with Pinocchio, his wood-carved creation who magically comes to life -- and whose nose grows whenever he tells a lie. Geppetto, who has no children of his own, becomes a "father" to Pinocchio, and the two develop a special bond. But that union is endangered by the colorful, villainous Lorenzini, who wants to use the toy as an attraction at his dark, insidious carnival.
And unfortunately, Lorenzini always gets what he wants....
A touching, live-action adaptation of the classic Carlo Collodi tale of a lonely woodworker whose puppet son magically comes to life. Jonathan Taylor Thomas serves as the voice behind Geppetto's wooden companion. Released theatrically in the USA July 26, 1996.

$5.99 Woody Allen's star-studded CELEBRITY skewers America's fascination with fame and glamour. Kenneth Branagh stars as Lee Simon, a travel writer who also interviews celebrities when he's not working on his novel and screenplay--or at least talking about writing them. As he hangs out more and more with supermodels and actresses, living the so-called good life, he ends his 16-year marriage to Robin (the marvelous Judy Davis). The split nearly sends Robin off the deep end until she meets Joe Gardella (Joe Mantegna), a television producer who introduces her to a whole new world.

$10.29 Set in 1914 amid the muddy trenches and flying shrapnel of World War I, JOYEUX NOEL is a touching tale of an unlikely, if fleeting, reconciliation amid battle. French director Christian Carion begins his movie--which is based on a true event--by highlighting how startlingly close the warring factions are located to one another. Trenches occupied by French and Scottish troops lay a mere hairbreadth away from their German counterparts, to the point where an alarm clock in the French trench can be heard in all three dugouts. Carion adds a generous helping of gallows humor to this and similar scenes, although he makes sure to carefully rein in the comical elements of the movie to portray the fear that grips the ...
