LOVE AND BASKETBALL is the powerful story of two next-door neighbors in Los Angeles who grow up loving basketball and, eventually, each other. Monica (Sanaa Lathan) and Quincy (Omar Epps) have wanted to be basketball stars since they were kids. Monica has had to work hard to establish herself as a presence, while Quincy was born with natural star potential. As the two struggle to reach their goals of playing professionally, they must also deal with their feelings for each other.

EXCELLENT Sanaa Lathan hasn't been around long, like some of these actresses; and she has already made a name for herself. In this film, her character is the best because she had so much ambition and dtermination to become a basketball star. Omar and Lathan love scenes become more dramatic when they finally come together as a couple. Debbi Morgan with those deep dimples, was good. I remember watching her on the Young and the Restless. Beautiful Movie This Film is really beautiful beacause it shows the growth and development of the two main charecters from childhood to adulthood.
