Standard Screen; Additional Footage; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English German heavy metal band The Scorpions may have faded from American popular consciousness after their 1990 hit "Winds of Change," but they continued to rock on the stereos of a dedicated international fan base long after that. MOMENT OF GLORY LIVE was filmed in Germany in the summer of 2000. Performing in front of an audience of impassioned fans and ably backed by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Scorpions give an enthusiastic performance that is clearly influenced by the love and comfort they feel in their homeland. All of their classic hits are covered. Scorpions - Moment Of Glory Live With The Berlin Philharmonic Video Scorpions - Moment Of Glory Live With The Berlin Philharmonic Movie Review Average Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) The scorpions are diverse. Hey they still rock licke ever before, now it has a symphony that jams it with them. Klaus can still hit that high note, Matthias still has that unique lead style and Rudolph is just the best damn rythym guitarist and always will be.I recommend the buy of the dvd, just be patient with a few songs and you'll love this. Great Arrangement Scorpions Hit it hard with the orchestral arrangement of their songs...new songs are also ok. Big thumbs up for matthias soloing on the instrumental tracks and James Kottak is also cool. Best songs are Hurricane (GREAT INTRO) and We'll burn the sky (great orchestration)
Low points were mostly the guest vocalists (the scotish guy cant even memorize the words for big city nights), other than that....
AMAZING ROCK SHOW!! Submitted by Mahmoud (Cairo) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
It's A Joke, Right?? Very seldom does meshing a rock band (usually well past it's prime) with an orchestra produce anything worth hearing. Unfortunately the Scorpions are way past anything useful and the shows with an orchestra just reek of a "come and see us again because it's different this time" gimick. This is a complete waste of time and money unless you want to see an old (and broken down) horse being beaten by a orchestra. Submitted by Spike (Fresno, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Really good This it is the second video of Scorpions that I've seen, the first one was "Acoustica" and enough I'm satisfied, because this seen more natural, the public isn't seen so forced with in the Acoustica where all seemed Portuguese models. The symphonic adjustments that have the songs are really good apparently the partners Scorpions-Kolonovits give very good results. Submitted by LedZeppelinPeru (Lima, Peru) Was This Review Helpful? Awesome Footage Who knew the Scorpions had such a soft side towards children. They could be Kiwanians. Submitted by rivanick (Longview, WA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
