Excellent Music and superb picture quality After watching - ans listening - Calle 54 for the first time, I ended up watching it again twice more on the same night. Excellent picture quality, deep colors, but specially Latin Jazz "esta en la sangre" - is in the blood - One of my favorites is track 5, Michel Camilo. The piano, battery and bass come alive in this rendition!
I have heard better interpretations by Gato Barbieri, too bad he did not pick a more popular tune for track 6.
The End Credits bring even more superb music, including a great piano duet. Paquito D'Rivera, Michel Camilo, Tito Puente, Chucho Valdes, Cachao, Bebo, all do a great job of playing latin jazz in this DVD - esta en la sangre! Highly recommended, this DVD should be part odf the collection of all latin jazz lovers. I think I will watch it again tonight! Submitted by a reviewer (Madison, AL) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

YOU WILL REPLAY IT It must have been more than 10 times that I have watched and heard this great DVD. In addition to the music, there is a documental section with the latin jazz history and the entire piece was made by a consummate film maker, Mr. Fernando Trueba. So you not only get great latin jazz music but also a good film work with many great scenes and finally, a comprehensive history of this jazz stream.
