Possibly one of the most talked about series of all time, "Faces of Death" examines the many guises of death in the extreme close-up. Sure to shock, horrify and even repulse, these brutal films are not meant for the faint of heart. Volume 1 - Features a vicious pit bull fight, the clubbing of baby seals, monkey brains, a man setting himself on fire, an electrocution, San Francisco cultists dining on human organs, a suicidal jumper taking his final leap, a visit to a slaughterhouse, an alligator attack and a visit to an autopsy room. Volume 2 - Shows guerilla death squads This stomach-turning series is sure to induce reverse peristalsis. See individual titles for details. and to think, it used to be so shocking back in the day c'mon you got to admit that the bit with the suicide bomber seperated from his legs but still alive was funny! tame though compared to whats on the internet these days.
Part 1 is CUT (mising the seance type bit from the end) also part 2 features images at the end that didn't appear in the film. Perhaps this is CUT too - does anybody know? Submitted by Wayne (Nothingham, UK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Faces Of Death: Boxed Set movie DVD
$7.89 Turning up the style and energy levels that he kept under a threshold with 1997's JACKIE BROWN, Tarantino's obvious glee and reverence for the underground kung fu action pictures of the '70s, and Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns, makes for a stunning visual spectacle. Employing split screens, slow-motion, an anime sequence, and his trademark ultra-hip musical selections, Tarantino's film dares viewers to be unimpressed.
When her family is slaughtered on her wedding day, a bride swears revenge on her former boss and his assassins. Stars Uma Thurman, directed by Quentin Tarantino. Special features include behind-the-scenes.
After a six-year hiatus, Quentin Tarantino returns to the director's chair with KILL BILL. The movie proves once again that he is a hyperactive visionary and the master of cinematic coolness. Split into two volumes by Miramax in order to ensure that Tarantino's vision would not be compromised (and presumably to sell more tickets), KILL BILL: VOL. 1 tells the first half of the sprawling story, which is quite simple at first ...
