Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts a small ugly "dog," whom she names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet if he weren't in reality a genetic experiment who has escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed on Earth. Through her love, faith and unwavering devotion to "ohana" (the Hawaiian concept of family), Lilo helps unlock Stitch's heart and gives him the one thing he was never designed to have - the ability to care for someone else. Stars Chris Sanders, Daveigh Chase, David Ogden Stiers, Jason Scott Lee, Tia Carrere - Director: Chris Sanders, Dean Deblois Far, far away, on an alien planet, a rogue scientist named Jumba has created a bright blue creature called Experiment 626, through illegal genetic research. This new creature loves destruction and chaos; he's considered dangerous enough to be exiled to a deep space lockup. But 626 steals a spaceship and escapes, touching down in Hawaii, where he ends up in a dog pound. He's adopted by Lilo, a spunky young girl, who renames her new pet "Stitch."
Stitch turns out to be quite a handful--his destructive impulses are on full display as he trashes Lilo's house, among other naughty acts. Lilo is being raised by her older sister Nani (their parents died in an accident), and they are under surveillance by an evil social worker, Cobra Bubbles, who wants to take Lilo away from Nani. Lilo must tame Stitch, or his bad behavior could be held against Nani by Cobra. Meanwhile, Stitch is being pursued by his creator Jumba, who has followed him to Earth to try to recapture him. But Stitch becomes steadily more thoughtful and well-behaved as he grows to love Lilo and becomes a part of her family. The film's animation is done in the traditional 2-D style, complete with beautifully drawn watercolor backgrounds which give it a dreamy, colorful handcrafted appeal. Over the years, television's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has been the playground and jumping off point for an impressive number of comic superstars who nimbly made the transition from television to the big screen, including John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, and Steve Martin. Recently that tradition has continued with the rising careers of funny men and women like Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, David Spade, and Molly Shannon. Chris Kattan is the newest SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE veteran to make the leap to film in this delirious screwball comedy. Kattan stars as CORKY ROMANO, a goofy misfit born into a powerful crime family who is rejected for being too normal and haplessly continues his life as a gentle veterinarian. One day Corky is shocked to receive a phone call from Pops (Peter Falk), his estranged Godfather-like father who is being indicted by the Grand Jury. It seems Corky is his father's last hope, he has hatched a plan to send his bumbling son undercover into the F.B.I. where he will be able to steal all evidence of his family's misdeeds. The only problem is: Corky's resume is desperately inflated by his intellectually challenged brothers (Chris Penn and Peter Berg) and the F.B.I. not only accepts him, they believe that he is speaks five languages and is Harvard-educated and is a super agent. Suddenly Kattan is forced to live up to his super-agent status, hunting down powerful drug lords and engaging in top-secret missions while he scrambles to find and destroy the evidence against his father. Kattan is a master of physical comedy, bumbling and goofing his way into the hearts of his coworkers who he miraculously impresses in this antic-filled Jerry Lewis-like performance.
