$7.89 Simon Templar (Val Kilmer), AKA The Saint, realizes his skill for trickery during his childhood in a Far East orphanage. He uses his natural born gifts, including a penchant for bizarre and effective disguises, to obtain things for people which they can not obtain themselves. When he is hired by a Russian crime boss (Rade Serbedzija, BEFORE THE RAIN) to use his chameleon-like abilities to lift the secrets of cold fusion from Oxford-based scientist Emma Russell (Elizabeth Shue), he has little idea he ...

Mchale's Navy film
$7.79 David O. Russell makes his entry into the major studio big leagues with the electric war dramedy THREE KINGS. The politically charged script, based on a fictional story by John Ridley, is a sly reworking of KELLY'S HEROES, and concerns four Gulf War soldiers who discover a map that may lead to an enormous stash of gold bullion. Russell gives actors ...

$10.05 Cora (Madeleine Stowe) and her younger sister, Alice (Jodhi May), both recent arrivals to the colonies, are being escorted to their father, Colonel Munro (Maurice Roeves), by a troop of British soldiers. Along the way they are ambushed by a Huron war party led by Magua (Wes Studi), a sinister warrior with a blood vendetta against Munro. Munro's soldiers are wiped out and Cora herself is nearly killed by Magua but is saved at the last moment by Hawkeye (Daniel Day-Lewis), a white trapper raised by the Mohican tribe. Hawkeye promises to take Cora and her sister safely to their father, and along the way Cora and the intense Hawkeye fall in love. Together they must survive wilderness, war, and the relentless pursuit of Magua.
Returning to the theme of a great love threatened by overwhelming circumstances, director Michael Mann hits the mark with an adaptation that captures the essence of ...

$6.89 Kelsey Grammar plays a wayward Navy officer, Tom Dodge, who is notorious throughout the Navy for having responded to a close call involving a Russian submarine by getting drunk and tattooing "welcome aboard" on an unmentionable appendage. He gets assigned by Admiral Winslow (Rip Torn) to command his own submarine; unfortunately, this sub is a rusting 1958 diesel model that the Navy wants to engage in war games to find out if it could inflict any damage. The assumption is, this sub is comparable to those the Russians are selling to renegade Iraqi and Libyan commanders, who might use them on suicide missions against the US.
Once on board, we meet the cast of quirky characters who will man this clunker, ...

In AH! MY GODDESS - VOL.4: WE'VE GOT TONIGHT, Keiichi must deal not only with Belldandy's drama, but also with that of her sisters. pretty bad... The best thing about this movie is Debra Messing looks hot in a Navy uniform! Submitted by RJ (Houston, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
It Doesn't Suck This film tanked even before it his the big screen. Tom Arnold will go down in history as about as good an actor or comedic actor (kind of an apology for not being an actor) as Yahoo Serious, Ben Stiller, Pauly Shore etc.
If you can get over Arnold, this is a really good flick. Tim Curry, who is magic in most everything he has done, plays Vladikov, the "second most dangerous terrorist in the world" with an ego problem associated. Bringing his therapist was as genius as Hunter Thompson travelling everywhere with his attorney, constantly advising him.
Rent it - see what you think. The subtle turnabout in the medal ceremony after McHale receives his medal will make you watch the film a second time. Submitted by a reviewer (Williamstown MA USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
