Full DescriptionCOWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE is based on the much-loved animated television series by Japanese director Shinichiro Watanabe. (The show airs on the Cartoon Network in the U.S.) As the film begins, Spike (Steven Jay Blum) and his gang of gypsy vigilantes are roaming the city, looking for trouble when Faye (Wendee Lee) witnesses a bioterrorist attack. Hovering above the city in her spaceship, she sees a man fleeing the scene. Over 500 people die in the attack, and the city offers a monetary reward for any information. The gang jumps at the opportunity. They decide to branch out, each using their own tactics to research the tragedy. Spike slinks through Chinatown, being led by shady underground characters. Faye traces the image of the man she saw back to military files. And the young Ed (Mellisa Fahn) and her dog Ein do some handy computer research. Meanwhile Jet (Beau Billinglsea), holds down the fort, worried about the gang. When the criminal Vincent (Daran Norris), is identified, with a connection to Spike's love interest Elektra (Jennifer Hale), the real action begins.
COWBOY BEBOP is a visually dramatic film that combines several styles of illustration into one beautiful, cohesive animated environment. The Mars of this film is a combination of cities: New York, Hong Kong, London, Paris, and many more. Viewers are compelled to identify monuments and familiar structures, while the terrorist theme hits fearfully close to home.IN THEATRES: AUGUST 30, 2002 (NY, World Premiere)

6 out of 5 stars... What a great movie. I was kind of worried when the title came out but boy was I surprised. I was surprised that I wasn't surprised that this movie was going to be so good. I really like how the story slowly brings the characters one by one till the viewer gets to know them. It's fast passed when it needs to be and it's also slow passed as well when it has to be. Great music, action, animation, camera angles, etc. It's a good addition to the series. I hope they make more of these... I'm almost afraid to say... a prequel? Maybe...maybe not? Rules...just plain rules. If you like the series you WILL like this. It was like a regular ep with a bigger budget and more story. Didnt touch on the bigger storyline but still very good. Watch even if you havent seen the sries...yes its that good. Submitted by a reviewer (California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A must see for fans of the Bebop series My high expectations were exceeded with this movie. Taking place somewhere between episode 22 and 23 of the TV series, the movie format provides greater opportunity for character depth and plot development. All your favorites are there: Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and even Ein. Even if you have never seen a Cowboy Bebop epidsode, you will enjoy this dvd. The movie encapsulates everything that makes the show great. Submitted by a reviewer (Durham, NC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$7.05 In this notorious film version of the popular French comic strip by Jean-Claude Forest, Jane Fonda plays a sexy yet innocent space-age heroine in the year 40,000 A.D. who never gets herself into a situation that requires too much clothing. BARBARELLA opens with the titular heroine stripping down to nothing in zero gravity among strategically placed credits. From there Barbarella embarks on a mission to find a peace-threatening young scientist named Duran Duran (Milo O'Shea) by order of the president of Earth. En route, she's attacked by killer dolls, ...

$10.45 David Lean's masterpiece, perhaps the greatest of screen epics, stars Peter O'Toole in one of the most electrifying debuts in film history. The film is less an ordinary adventure than an experience that leaves an overwhelming sense memory of the struggle between two powerful forces: the Arabian deserts, immense, intractable, ever-shifting, punishing; and T.E. Lawrence, humble as a monk, flamboyant as a rock star, protean, polymathic, heroic, enigmatic, mad. While working on the staff of British Intelligence in Cairo in 1916, Lawrence's fluency in Arabic earns him a post on a mission sent to establish contact with Prince Feisal (Alec Guinness), leader of the Arab revolt and ally of the British against the German-sponsored Turks in WWI. ...
