Standard Screen; Soundtrack English Comedic take-off on "The Exorcist," so over-the-top, it even stars Linda Blair! Here, the devil possesses the horror heroine's body via her television set(!), while she's watching a religious program. Subsequently, a nationwide TV audience eagerly tunes in to see the two priests battle Lucifer for the woman's pea-soup spewing body, with many jokes, gags, and spoofs along the way. This spoof of "Exorcist" genre films sports original star Blair once again claimed by the devil and ex-exorcist Nielsen battling a pair of phony TV evangelists in order to put a stop to a spewing fountain of pea soup. $20.95 Mary Jo Walker (Janet McTeer) is a Southern mother who hides her self-consciousness by overcompensating. She drinks, wears revealing outfits, and says things that other people would never even consider. Fleeing her latest abusive relationship, she and her daughter, twelve-year-old Ava (Kimberly Brown), head out west. They eventually settle in Starlight Beach, California, and seem to be getting along just fine on their own, but it isn't long before the cycle threatens to repeat itself. McTeer's portrayal of Mary Jo is so seamless that one might forget she is even acting. Reminiscent of the character driven films that made 1970s Hollywood so exhilarating.

| | Neil Hamburger: Western Music And Variety DVD (2009)
Repossessed DVD
$13.95 Neil Hamburger is a two-bit stand-up with a bad comb-over--an aging, phlegmy jokester with a penchant for cheap celebrity jabs. He’s also the brilliantly odd creation of Gregg Turkington, a decidedly more gifted comedian who has found a loyal cult following for his Tony Clifton-esque character. In this concert release, Hamburger performs a handful of twangy country tunes alongside the Too-Good-For-Neil-Hamburger Band, a name that speaks the truth: the back-up group includes veteran rockers Prairie Prince, David Gleason, and Atom Ellis.
