Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English In order to avoid flunking science class, Michael Harlan needs to come up with a first-rate project. When he finds a strange-looking object, he decides to pass it off as his creation, not realizing that it is a machine that can travel through time. Soon an assortment of historical figures, cavemen, and monsters have found their way to Michael's school...and Michael's not quite sure how to send them back. Michael (John Stockwell), a high school senior, and his friend Ellie (Danielle von Zerneck) scavenge a mysterious object from a military scrapyard for Michael to use in a science project. Soon after, the try to figure out what the object does, and find that it propels the entire student population into another dimension, and with a capacity for destruction the world has never known. Can Michael and Ellie fix their mistake and save humanity? My Science Project Reviews: "...Cheerful...with snappy repartee..."
-- Stephen Holden, New York Times "...There is something irresistible about Hopper as the hippie science teacher....Betuel manages to keep up a brisk pace and delivers a helter-skelter climax..."

$10.35 Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher team up in this torch-passing tale of the brave men and women in the Navy Coastguard elite rescue diver unit. A catastrophic rescue mission leaves him wounded after his wife (Sela Ward) walks out on him, so heavily decorated, reluctantly aging rescue diver Ben Randall (Costner) takes some leave from the ocean to assume instructor duties down at the naval training base. There his humorless pedagogy rubs a lot of trainees the wrong way, but a champion high-school swimmer, Jake (Kucher), has no problem keeping up, and it looks like old Ben may have found someone worthy to be his replacement. But first each man has to wrestle with his own personal demons...and each other. Under the no-nonsense direction of Andrew Davis (THE FUGITIVE, UNDER SIEGE), the visceral energy flows nonstop through this familiar but nonetheless riveting affair. Shot in a flat, matter-of-fact manner, the harshness of naval academy life is celebrated without being glamorized, while the rescues at sea are nothing short of hair-raising, making excellent use of CGI effects to plunge the viewer right into the towering waves and storms along with the divers. Several familiar, stalwart faces ...

$26.05 Unlike the sci-fi or fantastical elements found in the majority of anime released in the West, YUGO THE NEGOTIATOR is grounded firmly in reality. Yugo Beppu is a master at striking a deal, regardless of who is on the other side of the table. Terrorists, criminals, kidnappers--he's dealt with them all using his multiple language skills and sharp psychology. This collection includes the complete episodes of Yugo's exploits in Pakistan and Russia, where his wits are the only weapons he can use to get the people he's been hired to free out of danger. Based on the manga by Shinji Makari and Shu Akana, this is a globetrotting anime adventure in which the characters rely on their intelligence rather than mechanized battle armor.
