Marx Brothers comedy has them ferret out Nazi spies in a Casablanca hotel. In their last film together, the Marx brothers pull out all the stops. A Nazi treasure is hidden inside of a Casablanca Hotel, and three hotel managers in a row have ... Full Descriptiondied suspiciously, just as Ronald Kornblow (Groucho Marx) is hired to become the hotel's new manager. Meanwhile, Nazis are afoot with plans to make Kornblow the fourth victim, intending to trap him through the allure of a beautiful woman. Chico plays Rusty, the valet for the head Nazi, who overhears the plan, and teams up with businessman Corbaccio (Chico) to save Kornblow from the femme fatale. Rusty and Corbaccio tend to be a bit overzealous in the protection of Kornblow, providing for some hilarious moments. Soon Rusty finds the treasure, but the trio is thrown into prison before he can claim it. From prison on out the Brothers' slapstick, surreal humor really gets going, providing bigger and better laughs as A NIGHT IN CASABLANCA races toward its extremely silly climax.

$12.79 Director John Carpenter creates an old-fashioned campfire ghost story with THE FOG. Antonio Bay, a quaint, small seaside town is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding. That night a heavy, mysterious fog rolls through the town and people begin to die in savage ways. Rumors of a secret as old as the town begin to surface and the people of Antonio Bay realize they are victims of long dead sailors who have come to revenge their own murders at the hands of the town's founding fathers. The townspeople can only wait for the fog to roll in and pray that they are not the next to die...
Carpenter creates a chilling film with THE FOG and gets fine performances out of Adrienne Barbeau, Hal Holbrook, and the fog itself, which creeps and crawls around as if it were alive. The film elicits its scares out of what is not seen rather than what is, and Carpenter exploits that style perfectly. Vague shapes move within the ...

$14.59 While DUCK SOUP has risen to become emblematic of the Marx Brothers at their zaniest, A NIGHT AT THE OPERA represents the brothers at their finest. Under the inspired supervision of the boy genius Irving Thalberg, the script was penned by two of Hollywood's wittiest screenwriters, George Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind; the production values are substantially greater than in previous Marx Brothers works; the romantic leads, Kitty Carlisle and Allan Jones, are charming, first-rate stars; the supporting cast, led by Margaret Dumont, Sig Rumann, and Herman Gottlieb, turn in excellent performances; and the bent of the humor is honed from the surreal to a pointed attack on the lifestyles of the wealthy. The circuslike stateroom scene is among the funniest in motion-picture ...
