A scientist involved in the creation of destructive new superweapons is accidentally hurled back in time when an experiment backfires. In the year 1817 he meets young Mary Shelley, an aspiring author, and Dr. Victor Frankenstein, whose own experiment has gone haywire. Seeking to stop his Monster's reign of terror, Frankenstein sees the visitor's vast scientific knowledge as a way to further his own monstrous endeavors. Based on the fascinating novel by Brian Aldiss, FRANKENSTEIN UNBOUND marks Roger Corman's return to directing after an absence of twenty years.

Frankenstein Unbound Reviews:

"...[The film] looks fine, and the performers are mostly good....The special effects are nicely spaced out, and the laugh lines fairly funny." -- Vincent Canby, New York Times

"...Corman retains his visual flair....The film is handsome-looking..." -- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times

This is the only Michael Hutchence video. Stars also making their debut in this video: Catherine Corman, Catherine Rabett.

5 stars This is a Great Movie
This movie kept me interested throughout the entire film. Michael Hutchence gives a brilliant performance as the poet Percy Shelly. It's a shame this mans life ended before a brilliant film career could begin.

Based on both the short story by John W. Campbell, Jr. and the 1951 film produced by Howard Hawks, THE THING is John Carpenter's stunning masterpiece of horror. A group of weary scientists enduring the winter in an isolated camp deep in Antarctica chance upon an alien spacecraft buried in the ice. Near the strange craft is the body of an alien being, frozen solid. Thinking they have made the find of a lifetime, the scientists bring the alien body back to camp and thaw it out. The alien awakens, not in the best of moods, and proceeds to take over the identities of the scientists, one by one, body and all. Helicopter pilot MacCready (Kurt Russell) must lead the surviving men in discovering who among them is human and who is not and how they can destroy "the thing" before it takes them all and moves on to the heavily populated mainland and the rest of humanity. Rob Bottin supplies the awe-inspiring special effects of the creature in its many, ever-changing forms. The effects were groundbreaking at the time and hold up flawlessly over the passing years. But Carpenter does not rely solely on special effects, utilizing his spectacular cast, which includes Wilford Brimley and ...

The lovely Milla Jovovitch is back with a vengeance as amnesiac, genetically-altered zombie ass-kicker, Alice, in this sequel to the 2002 hit film, which is based on the video game. This time around the sinister Umbrella Corporation sends a team of investigators into their destroyed underground lab (the ground-zero of carnage in the previous film) and unwittingly unleash the still-staggering zombies and monsters out into the population of Raccoon City. Soon Umbrella has evacuated all of their own key employees and has shut everyone else inside to be devoured. A mastermind chemist's daughter gets left behind in the confusion, and she is the one ticket out for Alice and a handful of dwindling survivors, including the equally ...

An island off the Oregon coast is the setting for this salty yarn of ghosts, lepers, betrayal, vengeance, and teen angst. A fog-enshrouded schooner from 1865 returns from the bottom of the sea to wreak vengeance on the locals of the island, and it's up to local DJ Stevie Wayne (Selma Blair), her charter-boat-captain lover, Nick (Tom Welling, from TV's SMALLVILLE), and his wayward girlfriend, Elizabeth (Maggie Grace, from TV's LOST), to save the day. All three are related to the town's founding fathers, with whom the shipbound ghosts have an ancient score to settle. What that score is no one seems to know, but they need to find out, fast. DeRay Davis (BARBERSHOP) provides comic relief as Nick's lusty first mate, but the real scene stealer here is the fog itself, which is much more animated than in the 1980 John Carpenter original. Thanks to some nice CGI work, it slithers in, around, and under everything. Though gussied up with an angst-rock soundtrack and beautiful young TV actors, THE FOG is, at heart, a good old fashioned ghost story, replete with period costumes and inter-dimensional romance. Director ...
