Gigantour Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) A metal shred fest!!! Thank god Dave Mustaine put out a tour for fans of the lead guitar. I went to the first and second Gigantour. The first one featured in this DVD was definately the best so far. The highlight for me on the DVD is on the second disc where Dream Theater with the help of Mustaine and others perform a cover of (Pantera's) Cemetery Gates as a tribute to the late Dimebag Darrel. All of the performances were great. I highly recommend this DVD and it's companion CD for anyone who loves metal. Submitted by shredder1138 (Santa Ana, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Suspicions merely confirmed Watching this DVD merely confirmed my opinion that Dream Theater was by far my favorite band on the tour. T also allowed me to compare different bands to each other. [I'm going to have to do further musical research on Symphony X]. The bonus material was alright but not excessively interesting. Submitted by frqncy_mntr (Spokane, WA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? great show I have been a fan of many of these bands for some time. I would see the guys in Nevermore at the local metal shows in seattle back in the day, hangin out wiht them here and there, its great to see them on this high profile of a tour, they deserve it. The footage is very well done. I wish there could have been more performances from the bands, mainly Megadeth, Dream THeater, Nevermore, and Symphony X. The backstage dvd is a great bonus.
