The Dominican Republic has beautiful beaches, beautiful people, and a little something called "Sanky Panky," which female tourists might want to stay away from. A huge hit in both the Dominican Republic and the Dominican communities abroad, SANKY PANKY is a humorous look at the little-known phenomena of seducing travelers for personal gain. Sanky Panky Movie Review Average Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Hillarious Breaking the traditional overused dominican comedy, comes out this stunning workpiece that will make you laugh nonstop. It is down-to-earth because it shows really where we come from, but it also combines the dominican flavor making it one of the best dominican movies so far. I am happy to know the dominican theater is maturing and harvesting good fruits. Submitted by Heidi (Cleveland, OH, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 4 found this helpful.

Sanky Panky video
$8.79 Based on the life of salsa legend Hector Lavoe, director Leon Ichaso's EL CANTANTE, follows the beloved Puerto Rican performer (played by Marc Anthony) as he moves to New York City, and rises through the Bronx's vibrant Latin music scene during the 1960s and '70s. Singing with popular trombonist/bandleader Willie Colon (John Ortiz), Lavoe goes on to a successful solo career, but along the way, he becomes a drug addict, sabotaging not only his music, but his relationship with Puchi (a.k.a. Nilda Roman, portrayed by Jennifer Lopez).
Helmed by Ichaso (PINERO) with documentary-like realism, and carried by Anthony, who bears a striking (albeit thinner) resemblance to Lavoe, EL CANTANTE thoughtfully depicts the rise and fall of a remarkably talented vocalist unable to shake debilitating addiction. Husband and wife in real life, Anthony and Lopez reveal a convincing chemistry, and the movie bolsters the Puchi role to give J. Lo more screen time, an aesthetic decision than allows her gentle-yet-determined presence to play off of Anthony's troubled Lavoe. While off-stage drama receives its share of attention in EL CANTANTE, the film also wisely shines the spotlight on ...

Sanky Panky film
$17.05 Based on a sadistic crime that shocked all of Hong Kong, THERE'S A SECRET IN MY SOUP was inspired by the same events as the similar horror drama HUMAN PORK CHOP. The police are investigating a murder after a grisly discovery is made: a skull tucked inside a plush Hello Kitty doll. They determine that it belonged to Maggie, a prostitute who ran afoul of a group of drug-addled gangsters. As the police dig deeper into the crime, they discover that Maggie's final days were indeed terrifying, and that she deserved a far better fate than she received. Exploiting true events for a drama of horror and torture, THERE'S A SECRET IN MY SOUP was given the controversial Category III rating (for extreme violence and sex) by the Hong Kong authorities.
Starring Michael Wong, Cherry Chan, Hugo Ng, Gabriel Harrison, Tim Shaw, Angela Tong and Ng Ting. Produced by Wynn Lau. Directed by Yeung Chi Kin. Maggie lives with an abusive and cheating husband. She leaves him to stay with her friend and her husband who is a pimp. The pimp soon puts Maggie to work as a prostitute. ...
