$7.09 Jennifer Love-Hewitt (I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER) stars as the legendary Audrey Hepburn in this ambitious made-for-TV bio-pic that focuses on the extraordinary events that transformed a scampish war refugee into one of the most beloved actresses of all time. Framed around her battles to win the affections of the catty Truman Capote (Michael J.Burg) during the filming of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S in New York City, the film employs flashbacks to recount Hepburn's rise to fame -- offset by the many trials of her personal life and her relationships with millionaire James Hanson (Peter Giles), actor William Holden (Gabriel Macht), and producer Mel Ferrer (Eric McCormack - WILL & GRACE).

| | Anastasia DVD (1956) 20th Century Fox
Selena review
$9.29 In 1917, Russian revolutionaries overthrew the last czar, Nicholas, imprisoning him and his family and executing them one year later. Shortly thereafter, rumors began to spread that one of the czar's daughters, Anastasia, was still alive. In 1928, a woman surfaced claiming to be Anastasia. Based on the play, and the fictionalized account of actual events, ANASTASIA tells the story of Anna (Ingrid Bergman), the impoverished, suicidal Russian woman living in Paris who believes she may be Anastasia. When ex-military leader General Bounin, deftly played by Yul Brynner, and his cohorts discover Anna, they convince her, through grueling training sessions, that she is, in fact, the real princess. Yet Anna's own unmistakable memories unnerve even the general who, upon finding her, believed she was only a fake. The climax of the film, in which the Dowager Empress (Helen Hayes), who is still alive, meets Anastasia, is poignant and riveting. Shot on location in Paris, director Anatole Litvak commands incomparable performances from Bergman, Hayes, and Brynner in this captivating tale of lost identity. Bergman won her second Oscar for her winning portrayal that introduces just the right regal note of doubt about her real heritage.

| | Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King DVD (2003)
Selena film
$26.15 THE RETURN OF THE KING, the third and final film in Peter Jackson's THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, finds Middle-earth on the cusp of great change. Weary hobbits Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) venture further into the dark realm of Mordor, guided by the increasingly desperate Gollum (Andy Serkis), the two-faced former owner of the Ring that Frodo must destroy in the fires of Mount Doom. Meanwhile Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and Pippin (Billy Boyd) contend with the deranged ruler Denethor (John Noble) at the once-mighty city of Minas Tirith, as Merry (Dominic Monaghan) joins Éowyn (Miranda Otto) and the Riders of Rohan to hold back the forces of Sauron. Amidst the chaos, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) must rise to his destiny, aided by Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) in assembling allies for a massive battle that will decide the fate of Middle-earth.
With RETURN, Jackson brings J.R.R. Tolkien's world-renowned tale to a stunning conclusion. As with THE TWO TOWERS, the director deftly weaves various storylines together in one remarkable scene after another. Spectacular visuals complement Jackson's sharp focus on the characters and their emotional battles. While the special effects help to create huge battles and frightening creatures on a previously unseen scale, they never outshine the excellent ensemble of actors who bring the heart of the story home. A truly astounding work of filmmaking, THE RETURN OF THE KING skillfully concludes one of the greatest trilogies in cinema history.

Selena's story lives on & Jennifer Lopez's finest moment Selena is an amazing, moving, & enjoyable movie for not just fans of Selena but for the whole family.
It delivers the true story of Selena's life with the help of the fantastic cast. Edward James Olmos plays Mr. Quintanilla, Constance Marie plays Mrs. Quintanilla, & in the title role Jennifer Lopez plays Selena with real heart. All the cast deliver great & convincing performances in their roles.
There is no dought that this is Jennifer Lopez's finest moment in her acting career, she played Selena with such heart, warmth & joyfulness that it's like Selena & Jennifer came together during this movie. The music sounds really great during the concert scenes & Jennifer Lopez captures Selena's mannerisms on spot & at times you're mind can play tricks on you with which one is Selena.
It's a shame that Selena's beautiful life 7 amazing music career ended so wrongly.
Overall This movie is an amazing, uplifting, & wonderful & sad story
that truely show's the american dream.

GOOD MOVIE ABOUT SINGER SELENA NOT QUITE SURE HOW TRUE TO LIFE THIS BIOGRAPHY IS, BUT IT IS AN ENTERTAINING MOVIE WITH A NICE LATINO SOUNDTRACK. ONE OF JENNIFER LOPEZ'S BETTER ACTING PERFORMANCES AS WELL. Submitted by goman1 (CAPE TOWN , SOUTH AFRICA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Salena Salena was an exceptional Latin entertainer that had her life taken so rudely at such a young age. I just pray that her murderer finds what she deserves in prison, as for the 'Salena' movie Jennifer Lopez did a beautiful protrayel of Salena. It is somewhat sad and hard to watch the movie without realizing that it is a tragic story about such a young life. Submitted by a reviewer (Houston, TX) Was This Review Helpful?
