Selena Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) OUTSTANDING I have been a Selena fan for years and this DVD is a great addition to a collection or to those just discovering Selena! Her family and Warner Bros. did an amazing job with this 10th Ann. special. It has interviews with all of the actors and her family members. It is a great way to learn more about Selena. Another reason to buy this DVD is because it has deleted scenes and an extended version of the film. I belive that everyone should buy this DVD! SELENA FOREVER.. Selena's story lives on & Jennifer Lopez's finest moment Selena is an amazing, moving, & enjoyable movie for not just fans of Selena but for the whole family.
It delivers the true story of Selena's life with the help of the fantastic cast. Edward James Olmos plays Mr. Quintanilla, Constance Marie plays Mrs. Quintanilla, & in the title role Jennifer Lopez plays Selena with real heart. All the cast deliver great & convincing performances in their roles.
There is no dought that this is Jennifer Lopez's finest moment in her acting career, she played Selena with such heart, warmth & joyfulness that it's like Selena & Jennifer came together during this movie. The music sounds really great during the concert scenes & Jennifer Lopez captures Selena's mannerisms on spot & at times you're mind can play tricks on you with which one is Selena.
It's a shame that Selena's beautiful life 7 amazing music career ended so wrongly.
Overall This movie is an amazing, uplifting, & wonderful & sad story
that truely show's the american dream.

Fantastic! Such a sad story! I fell in love with Selena because this movie portrayed her to be the most beautiful, talented and successful latino performer. I envy her life as someone who struggled in her lifehood to become what she has became! I enjoyed this movie very much and will watch it over and over again! Congradulations to Jennifer Lopez as she did a superb job in her performance as Selena! Submitted by Scott - Magoo7985 (Avon, Mass) Was This Review Helpful? | | Skinwalkers DVD (2007) Widescreen; Subtitled
Selena film
$10.09 Though a statement at the opening of the film explains that the creatures of the title are, in Native American lore, people who have the ability to transform into various animals, SKINWALKERS focuses on two warring factions of werewolves. One is a family concentrated on protecting Timothy (Matthew Knight), a boy about to turn 13 who is the offspring of mortal Rachel (Rhona Mitra) and a Skinwalker. Timothy's family, led by kindly Uncle Jonas (Elias Koteas), chooses to avoid slaughtering innocents during full moons by restraining themselves in straps in the back of a beaten traveling camper. Their rival clan, captained by Varek (Jason Behr), lives with a leather-clad biker gang, riding from town to town and reveling in their bloodlust. When the clock strikes midnight on Timothy's birthday, he will be able to (in terms not explicitly spelled out) end the bloody reign of the Skinwalkers--but not if Varek and his gang can catch and kill Timothy before he officially becomes a teenager.
SKINWALKERS focuses more on its action sequences than on the horror elements, but those seeking a good chase sequence will find plenty to enjoy in the film's second half. Director James Isaac (JASON X) gives the film a graphic novel-like visual style, with plenty of red tints and scenes of rising moons. Elias Koteas (CRASH, EXOTICA) seems to be having fun as a werewolf patriarch, but veteran Canadian supporting actress Barbara Gordon seems to be enjoying herself even more as a pistol-packing grandma. Stan Winston's creature designs resemble the man-beast creations from 1977's ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU more than they do Rick Baker or Rob Bottin's revisionist werewolves from AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and THE HOWLING, but they are effective nonetheless.
Two packs of werewolves, one that lives to hunt and kill and the other that lives in peace with society, are signaled by the moon of the coming of an ancient prophecy. A 13-year-old boy - half wolf, half human - will control the destin
