Despite the name, A.C. Acoustics play a very typical form of indie rock, occasionally beefing up the riffs to a more hard rock sound. The songs are fairly tuneful, but never particularly memorable. The album is at its best when the band dabbles in spacy noise-rock (a bit like New Zealand's Bailterspace -- see "Fat Abbey"), but more often, they lapse into skronky rock clichés ("Three"). ~ Nitsuh Abebe
