 Animals Biography
In their classic mid-1960s lineup, the Artist were one of the most formidable British blues groups, helping to spearhead the British Invasion led by the Beatles. Though heavily influenced by American blues artists, the Artist created their own voice, personified by the gruff, scrappy singing of Eric Burdon. After the original group fell apart in 1967, Burdon carried on as a solo artist, occasionally leading various new versions of the Artist.
