Hal Blaine CD discography Born Harold Simon Belsky, Artist is a versatile and much-respected session drummer who has played on thousands of recordings. Blaine played drums for such heavyweights as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, and Simon & Garfunkel. His playing can be heard on such immortal number-one hits as Elvis's "Can't Help Falling in Love," Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night," the Beach Boys' "I Get Around," the Byrds' "Mr. Tambourine Man," Sonny & Cher's "I Got You, Babe," and Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson." He also played as a member of the R&B group the Wrecking Crew from 1977 to 1983, and over the years has released a handful of solo albums that feature his drumming skills as well as elements of novelty and comedy. He is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
