| | Electriclarryland CD (1996)
$8.85 The notorious Butthole Surfers continue their onslaught of gloriously twisted guitar rock on ELETRICLARRYLAND. Singer Gibby Haynes is like a skid-row bum in a Kabuki theater, donning the masks of various characters and investing all of them, from the psychedelic
|
| Locust Abortion Technician CD (1987)
$11.99 Although the Surfers aren't afraid to offer up a fairly straightforward punk song (the rocked-out "Human Cannonball" hints at their future accessibility), these mad sonic scientists seem most comfortable making listeners uncomfortable, as on the closing "22 Going on 23,"

| Butthole Surfers Psychic...Powerless...Another Man's Sac CD (1985)
$12.79 From its bizarre cover art to its absurd title to its gleefully chaotic and thematically offensive songs, the Butthole Surfers' 1985 full-length debut, PSYCHIC POWERLESS ANOTHER MAN'S SAC, perfectly exemplifies the Texas-spawned ensemble's twisted, ungodly aesthetic. On this wildly unhinged first outing,

| Butthole Surfers Independent Worm Saloon CD (1993)
$9.09 After Pioughd's semi-misfire and Rough Trade's subsequent collapse, the Surfers were in a surprising position. Not only were they courted and signed to Capitol thanks to the Nirvana-led alternative explosion, they also got high-profile arranger and Led Zeppelin legend John

| Butthole Surfers Weird Revolution CD (2001)
$8.49 As a slice of danceable, oddball pop confection, Weird Revolution glides seamlessly along as millenial ear candy -- bizarre, languorous, and utterly surreal. Only a band with such a varied past -- splatter-painted with psychedelia, avant-punk, and hardcore, the acid-damaged

 Butthole Surfers Biography
Few bands can lay claim to a title like "most deranged band ever" in quite the same way the Artist can. Formed in Austin, Texas, in the early 1980s, the group combined punk and metal riffage, tribal drumming, and sheer noise with singer Gibby Haynes's hallucinatory psycho-ward ramblings. The Buttholes' live shows were at times terrifying, and their early albums were challenging, exhilarating, and utterly unique, making them a long shot to ever ink a major-label deal. Nonetheless, the band released two albums on Capitol in the mid-'90s and even scored a genuine radio hit with the song "Pepper." The band jumped to Hollywood records for 2001's WEIRD REVOLUTION.
