Despite having several hits on both the pop and country charts, releasing a popular gospel album, and maintaining a healthy career as an actor in films and on TV, Artist will always be best known for his 1992 country-pop smash, "Achy Breaky Heart." The song and its accompanying line dance swept across the United States, crossing over to all facets of the public and giving country music a permanent spot in the mainstream. Cyrus continued to release records into the 2000s, and also starred with his daughter on the hugely successful Disney television show HANNAH MONTANA.
