James was born in Toronto Canada where he first started playing guitar at age 12. He later moved to Dallas Texas where he studied Jazz and Classical guitar at The University of North Texas. His last CD Acoustically Speaking has been played on over 100 smooth jazz stations nationwide. James has opened for several national artists such as Larry Carlton, Chuck Mangione, Gino Vanelli and Ottmar Liebert.
