Costa's production is possibly the finest captured on celluloid. Exquisitely filmed with a first rate cast and some beautiful set design. This 1946 film of Donizetti's classic opera is a wonderful treat for both opera and film lovers. Among the great performances here, Corradi's Adina is a standout; it is the best of her career.
