Between Jesse Hoggard's down home guitar and Billy Gibson's harmonica, the group's sound is pure Memphis grit and muscle, amply fortified by the bass and drums of Kevin Sheahan and John Scalici. With playing and writing this deep, we can only hope for more music of equal caliber from this promising new band. With everyone taking turns at the lead vocal chores and the wealth of original material, there's nary a boring moment to be found. It’s one of those bands that evokes past masters of psychedelic pop—Kinks, Love, Beach Boys—without ever seeming retro or derivative.
