Mike Vallely albums. Ever since I read about what it was like to be an audience member of a Robert Johnson performance I've had a dream to look up from playing a song and see a group of people so stunned they weren't applauding but instead were using their hands to wipe tears. Although it's been 40 years since I first desired this intense recognition for song interpretation, I have never achieved this. In the awkward silence replacing applause, I would comment on the simple truth, beauty and honesty of a song.
Don't be misled into expecting a blues CD. This music will sound more like folk music to you than the blues and R &B that I so much appreciate. It is overall, an attempt to capture the sound of being with a singer and their acoustic guitar. ... |
