The band's debut self-titled album was released on Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label in 2007. While the band never reaches the furious, sublime heights of Nirvana, there's considerably more to this album than simply Hollywood angst bashed out on guitar. Sounding not unlike IN UTERO-era Nirvana, Pagoda is marked by Pitt's dark, twisted guitar hooks and pained vocals. Actor Michael Pitt (LAST DAYS, BULLY, DAWSON'S CREEK) is the driving creative force behind the Brooklyn-based Pagoda.
