| Best Of Scarface CD (2008)
$10.65 Mr. Artist did for Houston what Kool G Rap did for New York and Ice Cube did for L.A. Since he laid the foundation for the gangsta rap genre as part of the Geto Boys, there is little in the hip-hop game that Brad Jordan hasn't done. As the first southerner to claim the Source's "Lyricist of the Year" award, and as president

| Fix CD (2002) Limited Edition; Digipak; Enhanced CD
$11.89 On THE FIX, Artist works overtime to show that a rapper can retain his gangsta credibility and still explore other avenues of expression. He lays down hard-hitting thug-life scenarios on such tracks as "Safe" and "Keep Me Down," but THE

| Diary CD (1994)
$13.89 On THE DIARY, rapper Artist creates a powerful, almost operatic progression of characters, portraying the different roles as they derive from the rapper's own persona. So he speaks either as Artist or as Brad Jordan (his real name), as the

| M.A.D.E. CD (2007)
$15.39 During an era when members of rap's elite dropped albums at (at least) a one-a-year rate, Artist took five years between the monumental 5-mic effort THE FIX (2002) and his equally compelling follow-up, M.A.D.E. (2007). The wait is well worth

| Greatest Hits CD (2002)
$15.29 Here's the daddy of them all at his absolute best, the dirtiest cuts from the Don of the Dirty South. Though Artist's influence hasn't been matched by commercial sales, he's been enormously influential by simply refusing to budge from what

 Scarface Biography
A member of famed Houston gangsta rap group the Geto Boys, Artist is one of the most respected southern MCs of all time. As a solo artist, he is by far the most successful member of the Geto Boys and is often credited with bringing southern hip-hop, and the Houston scene in particular, out of the underground and into the mainstream. In the early 2000s, Artist claimed that he was retiring from the solo MC game, but stated that he would continue to work with the Geto Boys and record and produce for other artists.
