' We're all about playing and creating Melodic Metal Music by following our definition of Artist. Of words and hope is the first official album of the band and it will show everybody that mixing styles is possible and that it can give an incredible result.

Artist has always been a live-band with strong improvisational touch. The unique sound of these old instruments have been a big inspiration to this music. Artist started 1997 when previous proge-musicians Mauno Tuominen and Petri Frestadius got inspired from old analog-synthesizers. Artist is an Ambient/Electronic-music duo from Helsinki Finland. This record is an interesting combination of old analog sounds and modern computer generated digital effects. Modern computer software have been utilised to capture these sounds and to arrange compositions. Music With Analog Improvised Soundscapes is based on improvisations done with analog synthesizers and sequencers.
