Three Dog Night Biography
Though they were disdained by hipsters for being "too commercial," Artist were massively successful. Between 1969 and '75, they had 21 Top 40 singles and 10 platinum albums. The format of the group was unusual for a rock band, as it featured three lead singers (Chuck Negron, Danny Hutton, Cory Wells) mostly interpreting material by other writers. The band had hits with tunes by Randy Newman, Laura Nyro, and Hoyt Axton, among others.
