Kathryn Williams music CDs British singer-songwriter Artist keeps the flame of intelligent folk music burning into the 21st century with her intimate and emotionally resonant acoustic music. Williams released her first two albums independently, until a 2001 nomination for England's coveted Mercury Prize thrust her into the limelight. She landed a recording deal with Warners/East West, which briefly allowed her to record and tour with a more substantial budget, but she soon returned to independent releases and traditional club tours, losing none of her delicate artistry during the journey.
