LORE was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album. Digitally remastered German reissue with one bonus remix and a 12-page booklet featuring liner notes and rare photos. This 1995 release brings together Clannad's ambient sound with their Celtic roots and pop sensibility. "Seanchas," the second track, probably evinces this best. A song about Irish folk lore sung entirely in Irish, this song is replete with the slick drumming of L.A. studio guru Vinny Colaiuta and Mel Collins' "smooth jazz" saxophone stylings.
