1988's CREATOR, the Lemonheads' second album, moves away from the pop-punk of its predecessor, 1987's HATE YOUR FRIENDS, into the idiosyncratic mix of pure pop, punk roots, and oddball experiments that were to characterize the band's next several offerings. Creator CD music Folks who only know the Lemonheads' later, poppier output are sometimes surprised to discover that for their first three albums, Evan Dando was the band's co-leader, writing only half of the songs, with the more punk-oriented ...See Full Description

Creator album. Contemporary gospel singer Stephen A. Hurd specializes in bright, rousing praise and worship music. TIMES OF REFRESHING (2008) doesn't deviate from Hurd's previous offerings (such as 2006's fine MY DESTINY); instead it delivers more of Hurd's feel-good testifying and celebration.
