5 stars Great Stuff
Michael Nyman's music mixes baroque and electronica in mindbreaking ways. The film by Greenaway was the perfect opportunity for Nyman to explore new modes of playing old music. The result is often intense, full of energy, sometimes a little weird, and beautiful. The songs have cool titles too.
