Wine, Women & Sin songs
$10.65 The Washington, D.C. straightedge hardcore punk scene began with Minor Threat. The band recorded two LPs on its own Dischord label, plus an EP and the miscellaneous singles that are collected on this CD. Many of the early recordings on this collection seethe with teen-age angst and indignation. The songs rage against bullies, religious hypocrisy, and the herd mentality.
Other songs, taken from later in Minor Threat's career, feature tighter and more sophisticated playing. Metallic flourishes tinge the guitar work, vocal ...
| | Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Live 1966-The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert CDs (1998)
Wine, Women & Sin album
$15.69 (MP3 Available for Download) LIVE 1966... includes a 56-page booklet filled with rare photographs.
Recorded live at the Manchester Free Hall, Manchester, England on May 17, 1966.
A bootleg so legendary its incorrect origin graces the title of the official release, the Manchester-recorded "ROYAL ALBERT HALL" CONCERT documents one of rock and roll's watershed moments. The folk prophet's embrace of electricity in the face of his audience's dissatisfaction with such a decision is among the finest rock myths. This performance, recorded in the last days of Dylan's epochal 1965-66 world tour, proves the music he was creating at the time every bit as extraordinary and complex as the greatest art of the 20th century; Picasso, Joyce, ...

| | Cherry Poppin Daddies Ferociously Stoned CD (1990)
Wine, Women & Sin music CDs
$9.73 Eugene, Oregon's Cherry Poppin' Daddies came together in the gray light of the pre-Grunge dawn, when America's rock underground was defined not by sloppy guitar groups but instead by phenoms like Fishbone, Faith No More, Bad Brains, the Meat Puppets, and early incarnations of the Chili Peppers and Suicidal Tendencies/ Infectious Grooves; bands that took musical tightness as a prerequisite and sought to bust creative boundaries by daring to traverse territory outside the individual members' stylistic comfort zones. After introducing themselves with a 1989 4-song EP mixing funkadelica with big band charts (which won the approval of legendary jazz DJ Al "Jazzbo" Collins), the Daddies released a series of independently-produced records daring anything and everything an eight-piece with three horns and keys possibly ...

| | Eternity's Children From Us Unto You: The Original Singles Collection CD (2005) (Import) United Kingdom
Wine, Women & Sin songs
$16.19 Remastered reissue in mini-LP sleeve with 6 bonus tracks 'When The World Turns' (Linda Lawley), 'Living Is Easy' (Linda Lawley), 'Laughing Girl' (Charles Ross III), 'A Railroad Trestle In California' (Charles Ross III), 'Wait And See' (alternate-no harpsichord or other overdubs) & 'Mrs. Bluebird' (mono 45 edit). Rev-Ola. 2005.
The nearly one hour of listening contained within this CD covers much of the history of Eternity's Children, and in a far more coherent manner than any of the reissues of their LPs (which were mashed-together creations). One will get a much fuller and clearer picture of a sad-yet-glorious story here, working single-by-single, most of the material showing everything this group had going for it and also the missed opportunities that blighted their history. The first six songs, originally spread among three different labels -- "Time and Place" and "Can't Put a Thing Over Me," edgy, rocking but slightly trippy numbers issued on the tiny Apollo label; the cheerier and more ornate, Baroque pop sounds of "Wait and See" and "Rumors" on A&M Records (also the home of languid sounds ...
