Skeptical
When I first bought this album (about 3 days ago)
I was highly skeptical that Michale Graves could run the misfits great style of music. I put it in and it instantly starts with a great instrumental. it then goes into American Psycho without a break. But my fav. song on the entire CD is Dig up Her Bones. It's by far the best use of Graves vocals. Also another great track is Crimson Ghost which starts off with a great bass line by Only. Also the remake of Walk Among Us is amazing. I still prefer Danzig's voice, but this is a must pickup

Different Lineup, Tweaked Sound
The old Misfits members are great but what is the point of comparing the lineup of "American Psycho", with the linep of "Earth A.D."? There is no point so just accept it as it is, a change. As far as quality of the album goes, I believe it is a supreme accomplishment. I first heard "collection 1" instantly making me a fan of the Misfits. I then found this CD in Disc Replay along with "Cuts From The Crypt" and after a while of looking them over, decided on "American Psycho". I enjoyed it thouroughly and then proceeded to go back to Disc Replay and pick up "Cuts From The Crypt". Michale Graves is an execellent addition to the band in that he does not try to emulate Danzig, but instead developed his own unique style, which complements the backing vocals of the other talented members. One downside of this album is the lack of bass. Jerry Only is another accomplished musician so he should show that a little more in his work.
